The Travelers have glowing pieces in their outfit that change based on which element they are currently attuned to. In the beginning cutscene with the Unknown God, both of the siblings will have glowing white clothing. Later, after the fight with the Unknown God, the player's Traveler will lose their white light and remain black until they interact with the first Statue of the Seven they come across, lighting up again, but this time becoming teal, as they are borrowing the power of Barbatos. This lighting scheme would continue based on which element the sibling is currently borrowing, as visiting a Statue of the Seven in Liyue will allow the player to borrow the power of Geo from Rex Lapis, and start to glow yellow.

Story 1
−
A boy and a girl stood amidst the tumult, under an unfamiliar sky. You were a pair of traveling twins, passing through countless worlds during your journey. Descending upon a continent named Teyvat, you hoped that you would be able to enjoy your time here.
−
−
But as you awoke among the falling stars, you saw the world in turmoil, a cataclysm raging across the land...
−
You sought to leave this place and move on to the next world, but then an Unknown God stood before you, barring the way. This deity was spotless, floating over a world of chaos.
−
Looking down on you.
−
−
The god took your only kin away, and you were sealed and cast into a deep slumber filled with nightmares...
−
When you reawakened, the world was changed. The flames of war raged no longer, and nothing was left that looked familiar.
−
How long had you been asleep? You had no answers.
Thus you began a lonely journey, seeking the deity that you had once laid eyes upon...

After that, you met Paimon, and wandered together for some time.
You learned that this world has seven deities who rule the seven nations as the Seven Archons.
−
Your first stop was the free city of wine and song, Mondstadt, a city built by the Anemo Archon.
−
As you stepped into Mondstadt as an outlander, it was, as the other nations were, beset on both side by non-human and human threats.
−
−
The non-human threat was comprised of the confederacy known as the Abyss Order. The human threat, on the other hand, stemmed from the ambition of the Tsaritsa, god of Snezhnaya.
−
The Abyss Order had corrupted an ally of the Anemo Archon, the Dragon of the East of the Four Winds of Mondstadt.
−
−
These threats from without and within caused the return of the Anemo Archon, who took on the form of a bard and joined you in your journey to save the dragon.
−
Yet there was something then that you did not see — for as the dragon fell to the Abyss, a certain figure had been reflected in its eyes...
The one who rules the Abyss.
He had once traveled with you, and you had once crossed many worlds together.

Vision
−
When faced with circumstances that they cannot control, humans often bemoan their powerlessness.
−
−
But if a person is found to have surpassing ambition even as their life reaches such a desperate turning point, then the gods would look upon them with favor.
−
−
This favor is the Vision, an external magical focus given to those who have been acknowledged by the gods which they can use to channel elemental power.
−
−
Celestia is the realm of the gods, and the wielders of Visions walk the earth below. When they depart from this world, the chosen will ascend.
−
−
After coming to this world, you often hear people speak of such things.
−
−
You, for your part, can never receive a Vision, for an alien lifeform does not belong...
−
−
Is it wise to allow a moment's ambition to dominate one's entire life?
−
−
You have needed to consider many such thought-provoking questions, ones that require lengthy consideration, during your journey through many worlds...

Genshin Impact Story Teaser We Will Be Reunited (Contains spoilers)
The Traveler is the protagonist and a playable character in Genshin Impact. At the beginning of the game, both genders are twin siblings from another world, traveling throughout the universe, until an Unknown God ambushed, capturing one of them, and sealed their ways to travel, leaving them stranded on Teyvat.
Whatever gender you choose, the name of the other sibling will be revealed. The male's name is Aether, while the female's is Lumine.
Lumine's names in other languages are Template:Chinese; Template:Nihongo which means "Firefly". While Aether's alternative names are Template:Chinese; Template:Nihongo meaning "Sky".
A traveler from another world who had their only kin taken away, forcing them to embark on a journey to find The Seven.
Personality
The traveler’s personality is determined primarily by the player. Their personality can range from stoic and humble to confident and short-tempered.
Appearance
Both siblings have blond hair, slim body builds, golden-yellow eyes, and fair skin. Both siblings are taller than the game‘s children but shorter than the average adult. They also wield blue broadswords in hand.
Aether wears a brown breastplate vest along with a white scarf- cape with golden embroidery. He wears brown pants, dark gloves, and black boots. His hair is medium cut with a long braided ponytail.
Lumine wears a white sleeveless dress with tail capes and bracers covering her thumbs, with white stockings plus boots. Her hair is medium cut with short straight twin tails.
History
After spending months stranded in Teyvat, the Traveler fished out Paimon from a lake. Paimon suggests they get in contact with The Seven, in order to help the traveler look for their lost sibling, at the start of the game.
Combat Info
The Traveler starts the game with only one talent, Past Memories, this for their normal/charged Attacks. Shortly afterward they will unlock their Anemo talents and constellations by resonating with the first Statue of The Seven in Mondstadt, the Traveler can resonate with any other Statue of The Seven they find and change their element to match the statue's element. See Teyvat for each region's element.
Passive Talent 1, Slitting Wind: "The last hit of a Normal Attack combo unleashes a wind blade, dealing 60% of ATK as Anemo DMG to all opponents in its path."
The wind blade created by Slitting Wind is considered Normal Attack damage, and thus can trigger weapon passives such as those belonging to Prototype Rancour and Mistsplitter Reforged.
Grasping the wind's might, you form a vortex of vacuum in your palm, causing continuous Anemo DMG to opponents in front of you. The vacuum vortex explodes when the skill duration ends, causing a greater amount of Anemo DMG over a larger area.
Elemental Absorption If the vortex comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional Elemental DMG of that type. Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.
When this skill hits at least one enemy, it generates 2Elemental Particles if it was pressed and 3.33 if it was held.
Only the final hit of this skill generates Elemental Particles.
The DMG multiplier of the absorbed element is 25% of the Anemo DMG multiplier.
When the skill button is held, Initial Cutting DMG ticks 2 times (at 0.35s and 0.5s), then it switches to Max Cutting DMG, which ticks 4 more times (at 0.85s, 1s, 1.35s and 1.5s).
When the skill button is pressed, it will immediately trigger Initial Storm DMG.
Elemental Absorption can occur from both elements on the target as well as elements afflicting the Traveler.
Unlike other Talents with Elemental Absorption, Anemo Traveler's absorption priority is Cryo / Frozen > Pyro > Hydro > Electro.
Passive Effects
Passive Talent 2, Second Wind: "Palm Vortex kills regenerate 2% HP for 5s. This effect can only occur once every 5s."
Constellation Effects
Constellation Level 1, Raging Vortex: "Palm Vortex pulls in opponents and objects within a 5m radius."
Guiding the path of the wind currents, you summon a forward-moving tornado that pulls objects and opponents towards itself, dealing continuous Anemo DMG.
Elemental Absorption If the tornado comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional Elemental DMG of that type. Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.
Tornado DMG and Additional Elemental DMG can strike up to 9 times: once every 0.5 seconds from 2 to 6 seconds after activating Gust Surge.
Unlike other Talents with Elemental Absorption, Anemo Traveler's absorption priority is Cryo > Pyro > Hydro > Electro.
The tornado will continuously apply a Struggle state to enemies near it whose weight is less than or equal to 100, preventing them from performing any actions and allowing them to be lifted into the air by the Vacuum Field.
However, the Struggle state will not be applied to enemies more than 20 levels higher than Traveler.
Constellation Effects
Constellation Level 3, Sweeping Gust: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
Constellation Level 6, Intertwined Winds: "Targets who take DMG from Gust Surge have their Anemo RES decreased by 20%. If an Elemental Absorption occurred, then their RES towards the corresponding Element is also decreased by 20%."
Calling upon the might of the flora all around you, you create a Lea Lotus Lamp. This Lamp will deal continuous Dendro DMG to opponents within its AoE.
Lotuslight Transfiguration The Lea Lotus Lamp will undergo the following changes after it comes into contact with Hydro/Electro/Pyro:
Hydro: the Lamp's AoE and the AoE of its attacks are increased.
Electro: the Lamp's ATK SPD is increased.
Pyro: the Lamp will explode after a short delay and then disappear, dealing AoE Dendro DMG.
The Lea Lotus Lamp can only undergo one Lotuslight Transfiguration in its duration.
Only one Lamp created by the Traveler can exist at any one time.
The Lea Lotus Lamp in its original state or after Hydro transformation attacks every 1.5 seconds resulted in a total of 8 hits.
The Lea Lotus Lamp after Electro transformation attacks every 0.9 seconds resulted in a total of 13 hits.
The Lea Lotus Lamp carries 0.4gauge units of Dendro while in its normal state. Applying Hydro to it will trigger Bloom and produce a Dendro Core.
Constellation Level 4, Treacle Grass: "After the Lea Lotus Lamp triggers a Lotuslight Transfiguration, it will obtain 5 stacks of the Overflowing Lotuslight effect from the Passive Talent 'Verdant Overgrowth.' You must have unlocked this Passive Talent first."
Constellation Level 6, Withering Aggregation: "The Dendro DMG Bonus of the character under the effect of Overflowing Lotuslight as created by the Lea Lotus Lamp is increased by 12%. If the Lamp has experienced a Lotuslight Transfiguration previously, the character will also gain 12% DMG Bonus for the corresponding element."
Lea Lotus Lamp will obtain one level of Overflowing Lotuslight every second it is on the field, increasing the Elemental Mastery of active character(s) within its AoE by 6. Overflowing Lotuslight has a maximum of 10 stacks.
This passive provides a total of 60 Elemental Mastery at maximum stacks.
Unleashes three swift thunder shadows that deal Electro DMG to opponents and leave an Abundance Amulet behind after hitting an opponent. 2 Abundance Amulets can be created initially. Using this skill will reset any Abundance Amulets that were generated.
Abundance Amulets When a character is near an Abundance Amulet, they will absorb it and obtain the following effects:
Restores Elemental Energy
Increases Energy Recharge during the Abundance Amulet's duration.
Passive Talent 1, Thunderflash: "When another nearby character in the party obtains an Abundance Amulet created by Lightning Blade, Lightning Blade's CD is decreased by 1.5s."
Constellation Level 4, Fickle Cloudstrike: "When a character obtains Abundance Amulets generated by Lightning Blade, if this character's Energy is less than 35%, the Energy restored by the Abundance Amulets is increased by 100%."
Constellation Level 5, Clamor in the Wilds: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
You call upon the protection of lightning, knocking nearby opponents back and dealing Electro DMG to them.
Lightning Shroud When your active character's Normal or Charged Attacks hit opponents, they will call Falling Thunder forth, dealing Electro DMG. When Falling Thunder hits opponents, it will regenerate Energy for that character. One instance of Falling Thunder can be generated every 0.5s.
This talent can hit a theoretical maximum of 24 times. In practice, hitting more than 14 times is a feat.
Constellation Effects
Constellation Level 2, Violet Vehemence: "When Falling Thunder created by Bellowing Thunder hits an opponent, it will decrease their Electro RES by 15% for 8s."
Constellation Level 3, Distant Crackling: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
Constellation Level 6, World-Shaker: "Every 2 Falling Thunder attacks triggered by Bellowing Thunder will significantly increase the DMG dealt by the next Falling Thunder, dealing 200% of its original DMG, and will restore an additional 1 Energy to the current character."
The collapse created by Frenzied Rockslide is considered Normal Attack damage, and thus can trigger weapon passives such as those belonging to Prototype Rancour and Mistsplitter Reforged.
You disgorge a meteorite from the depths of the earth, dealing AoE Geo DMG. The meteorite is considered a Geo Construct, and can be climbed or used to block attacks.
Constellation Level 2, Rockcore Meltdown: "When the meteorite created by Starfell Sword is destroyed, it will also explode, dealing additional AoE Geo DMG equal to the amount of damage dealt by Starfell Sword."
Energizing the Geo deep underground, you set off expanding shockwaves. Launches surrounding opponents back and deals AoE Geo DMG. A stone wall is erected at the edges of the shockwave. The stone wall is considered a Geo Construct, and may be used to block attacks.
There are 4 instances of Shockwave DMG.
The Geo Constructs created do not contribute to the 3 construct limit.
Constellation Level 3, Will of the Rock: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
Constellation Level 4, Reaction Force: "The shockwave triggered by Wake of Earth regenerates 5 Energy for every opponent hit. A maximum of 25 Energy can be regenerated in this manner at any one time."
Constellation Level 6, Everlasting Boulder: The stone wall from this talent lasts 5 seconds longer for a total of 20 seconds.
Press Sends a Torrent Surge forward that will deal Hydro DMG to opponents it comes into contact with.
Hold Enter Aiming Mode and constantly fire off Dewdrops in the direction in which you are aiming, dealing Hydro DMG to opponents they hit. When the skill ends, it will send a Torrent Surge forward that will deal Hydro DMG to opponents it comes into contact with. Suffusion: When using the Hold configuration of this skill, if the Traveler's HP is higher than 50%, the DMG dealt by Dewdrops will increase based on the Traveler's Max HP, and the Traveler will lose a fixed amount of HP every second.
Arkhe: Pneuma At certain intervals, after using Torrent Surge, this skill will unleash a Spiritbreath Thorn that pierces opponents, dealing Pneuma-aligned Hydro DMG.
When Suffusion is active and used throughout the entire duration of the Hold Mode, a total of 24% Max HP will be consumed.
Passive Effects
Passive Talent 1, Spotless Waters: "After the Dewdrop fired by the Hold Mode of the Aquacrest Saber hits an opponent, a Sourcewater Droplet will be generated near to the Traveler. If the Traveler picks it up, they will restore 7% HP. 1 Droplet can be created this way every second, and each use of Aquacrest Saber can create 4 Droplets at most."
Passive Talent 2, Clear Waters: "If HP has been consumed via Suffusion while using the Hold Mode Aquacrest Saber, the Torrent Surge at the skill's end will deal Bonus DMG equal to 45% of the total HP the Traveler has consumed in this skill use via Suffusion. The maximum DMG Bonus that can be gained this way is 5,000."
Constellation Effects
Constellation Level 3, Turbulent Ripples: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
Constellation Level 4, Pouring Descent: "When using Aquacrest Saber, an Aquacrest Aegis that can absorb 10% of the Traveler's Max HP in DMG will be created and will absorb Hydro DMG with 250% effectiveness. It will persist until the Traveler finishes using the skill. Once every 2s, after a Dewdrop hits an opponent, if the Traveler is being protected by Aquacrest Aegis, the DMG Absorption of the Aegis will be restored to 10% of the Traveler's Max HP. If the Traveler is not presently being protected by an Aegis, one will be redeployed."
After the Dewdrop fired by the Hold Mode of the Aquacrest Saber hits an opponent, a Sourcewater Droplet will be generated near to the Traveler. If the Traveler picks it up, they will restore 7% HP. 1 Droplet can be created this way every second, and each use of Aquacrest Saber can create 4 Droplets at most.
Sourcewater Droplets last for 15 seconds.
The Hydro Traveler can absorb Sourcewater Droplets generated by Neuvillette and vice versa.
In Co-Op Mode, players can only see and interact with Sourcewater Droplets spawned by themselves.
Constellation Effects
Constellation Level 1, Swelling Lake: "Picking up a Sourcewater Droplet will restore 2 Energy to the Traveler. Requires the Passive Talent 'Spotless Waters.'"
Constellation Level 6, Tides of Justice: "When the Traveler picks up a Sourcewater Droplet, they will restore HP to the nearest party member with the lowest HP percentage remaining based on 6% of their Max HP."
If HP has been consumed via Suffusion while using the Hold Mode Aquacrest Saber, the Torrent Surge at the skill's end will deal Bonus DMG equal to 45% of the total HP the Traveler has consumed in this skill use via Suffusion. The maximum DMG Bonus that can be gained this way is 5,000.
To gain the maximum DMG Bonus for the Torrent Surge at the skill's end, the HP needed to be consumed via Suffusion is:
Passive Talent 1, Slitting Wind: "The last hit of a Normal Attack combo unleashes a wind blade, dealing 60% of ATK as Anemo DMG to all opponents in its path."
The wind blade created by Slitting Wind is considered Normal Attack damage, and thus can trigger weapon passives such as those belonging to Prototype Rancour and Mistsplitter Reforged.
