Pre-Quest Dialogue[]
Available before completing The Mystery of Tecoloapan Beach
- Sakaw: The fog on the sea has thickened lately. A worrying sign...
- Sakaw: Could that legend be true?
What legend?
- Sakaw: Err... Ah, that depends on what legend you wish to hear, outlander hero...
- Sakaw: Two reasons have been given for that floating island and the huge graffiti: One more akin to a story, and the other to a real legend.
- Sakaw: Which would you like to hear, outlander warrior?
Let's hear the story...
- Sakaw: Hmm, there's always a romantic spin with stories... There, the origin of the graffiti on the foggy floating island is part of The Tale of Qoyllor and Ukuku.
- Sakaw: It is said that the girl named Qoyllor left a huge work of graffiti by the beach in order to contact her Father Sun.
- Sakaw: Her Father Sun saw the graffiti from the sky and thus whisked her away from the earth... That's sort of how the story goes.
- Sakaw: It is said that the unsettling mist was bestowed by the Sun Father upon the people of the surface, as punishment for stealing his daughter's power.
About the real legend...
- Sakaw: As for the real legend... It is said that a long time ago, there was an evil sorcerer who disguised himself as a Wayob and bewitched the heroes of the tribe.
- Sakaw: Later, the tribal heroes had to seal the pitch-black wicked wizard within that giant graffiti...
- Sakaw: As to why the ocean surface has become like this... They say that it presages the moment when the evil wizard shall shatter the seal and escape its grasp.
- Sakaw: *sigh* Be it legend or story, the rising fog is never a good sign.
- Sakaw: Outlander hero... That place is probably fraught with danger, so you must take care not to get too close...
Dialogue[]

As you get closer to the island in the fog, a strange noise can be heard from it — what secret past lies hidden in its depths?
- (Approach the island)
- Weak Voice: Ah... Hero from a foreign land... Stay on guard. Here be... the pitch-black foe...
- Menacing Whisper: Rash ones from a foreign land, please stay where you are. This is forbidden land to the tribe, and you may not trespass...
- (Get up on the stone platform)
- Menacing Whisper: Rash outlander, why do you still linger here? This place is fraught with dangers uncounted, venture no deeper.
- Weak Voice: Warrior... Break the seal, only then can you defeat... the dark foe...
- Weak Voice: Help me, that seal, it's very close...
- (Approach the first seal)
- Weak Voice: Yes, this is it... Only need... "Spiritspeaking"...
- (Break the first seal)
- Weak Voice: That's it, outlander warrior, I didn't misjudge you... As expected, you...
- (The camera pans to a mountain in the distance)
- Menacing Whisper: *sigh* Really, why did you have to do that? You're breaking the seal, and once it's broken...
- Menacing Whisper: It's not too late... to turn back...
- Weak Voice: Hurry, come to the mountain's summit... That place is... the next...
- (Break the second seal)
- Weak Voice: Just so, just so... Outlander warrior...
- (The camera pans to a rocky overhang in the distance)
- Menacing Whisper: What are you doing, you reckless outlander? Don't you know the consequences?
- Weak Voice: Quickly... The last two seals are beneath deep rock and upon overhanging heights.
- (Approach the Iktomisaur in the cave, standing on an illusory floor)
- Weak Voice: Just below, can feel it... right there...
- (The Iktomisaur disappears)
- (Stand where the Iktomisaur previouly stood)
-
- (The illusory floor disappears)
- (Fall through the floor gap)
- Menacing Whisper: Enough... Come no closer!
- Weak Voice: Never thought it could get that panicked... Alright, outlander warrior...
- Weak Voice: Light up this place... Use the three torches in the three corners...
- (Enter the room with the third torch)
-
- (The door behind the player slams shut)
- Menacing Whisper: No, I cannot let you proceed...
- (Place all three torches)
- Menacing Whisper: I didn't want to have to do this... *sigh* Nightsouls... Stop him in his tracks.
- (Break the third seal)
- Weak Voice: Yes... Now, there is still... This outlander warrior...
- (On the way to the fourth seal)
- Weak Voice: Go to the floating isle... There, the final seal... can be broken...
- Menacing Whisper: No, I'm so close! I won't let you...
- (Approach the first Iktomisaur)
- Weak Voice: Come, outlander warrior, come... Allow me to assist you...
- (The Iktomisaur generates a Wind Current)
- (Approach the shattered stone)
- Weak Voice: The shattered stone, restore it completely... Quick, lift the seal...
- Menacing Whisper: You sneaky... If... I...
- Weak Voice: Here, outlander warrior... come, over here...
- (Restore the shattered stone)
- Weak Voice: Yes, that's it, quick... Just use your "Spiritspeaking"...
- (Break the fourth seal)
-
- (The camera pans to the large seal in the middle of the island)
- Weak Voice: Quick! Come here, quick...
- Menacing Whisper: Did you really think you could escape? Come on, then...
- Weak Voice: This was never about escape... This is... the biggest difference... Urgh...
- (Enter the center seal)
-
- (The player is teleported to the Night Kingdom)
- Mimic Wayob Manifestation: I was supposed to be able to quickly and completely take over the spirit within this puppet... Corrupt the authority here... This seal gave me the perfect opportunity...
- Mimic Wayob Manifestation: Yet... At the last moment...
- Weakened Wayob Manifestation: Come, outlander warrior... Together with the true night, save those Nightsouls that have been led astray...
- (Defeat the mimic Abyss-corrupted Wayob Manifestation)
- Weakened Wayob Manifestation: Ah, at last... Were it not for your aid, outlander hero, we might have long been overwhelmed by our pitch-black foe...
- Weakened Wayob Manifestation: ...Long ago, the tribespeople here were ensorcelled, enchanted by our enemy, and many Nightsouls became entangled by the Abyss.
- Weakened Wayob Manifestation: At the seal's location, even the power of Night's manifestation is slowly being chipped away... This seal severs all links with the outside world, yes, but with the source of the tribe's faith also.
- Weakened Wayob Manifestation: It must be undone for there to be any fighting chance...
- Weakened Wayob Manifestation: Thank you, outlander hero... The Nightsouls can find their way back to their dream-home, avoiding the blight that grips the Lord of the Night's realm.
- Weakened Wayob Manifestation: Ah, at last, to be able to return to the quietude of Night...
- (The player is teleported back to Sakaw's location)
- (The camera shows an aerial view of Tecoloapan Bay, no longer shrouded in fog)
- (Quest completes)
Post-Quest Dialogue[]
Available immediately after completing The Mystery of Tecoloapan Beach
- Sakaw: Oh, have you come to take pictures? Foreign tourists have come here before, wishing to do the same. That floating island is quite the view, after all...
- Sakaw: It's just a shame we didn't have Kamera previously - I had to ask a foreign merchant I knew to get me one.
- Sakaw: How about it, dear guest? Care for a picture? But you'll have to do it yourself. I'm not exactly a dab hand at photography...
Strange, there's fog over the sea...
- Sakaw: Fog? What do you mean? There can't be fog with such a strong sea breeze...
- Sakaw: I have never seen fog over the sea since the day I was born.
- Sakaw: Might you have confused this place with the fog-shrouded area that Tezcatepetonco Range overlooks, by any chance?
Perhaps...
- Sakaw: Hehe, if you ask me, I'd say you're just too nervous.
- Sakaw: You should loosen up — you're touring Natlan, after all.
