The Illumiscreen: III is the first request in Part III of the Lantern Rite Tales event. It opens on the ninth day of the event. It is also the third quest of the event World Quest series: Beneath Splendent Lanterns.
Steps[]
- Talk to Brother Qian at night (21:00 – 5:00)
- Complete "Illumiscreen: Crane"
- Examine "Illumiscreen: Crane"
- Find the treasure are indicated by the Illumiscreen (0/3)
- Obtain 3 Precious Chest
- Lingju Pass: Inside a ruined tower.
- Defended by a Blazing Axe Mitachurl.
- Sea of Clouds: Below a small tree.
- Light up 4 Ruins Torches. One of them is hidden under a breakable rock.
- Guyun Stone Forest: On the backside of one of the islands.
- Dig up the chest.
- Defended by 3 Geovishap Hatchlings. There is a miniature Ruin Hunter that will activate when the chest is dug up.
- Lingju Pass: Inside a ruined tower.
- Obtain 3 Precious Chest
- Talk to Brother Qian
- Open the chest just opposite of Brother Qian
- Although it says "chest," you must open all 3 chests to complete the quest.

- Brother Qian: Try the Illumiscreen...
Do you have another image for me?- Brother Qian: You bet! And since you solved both the previous ones so easily, I've swapped the lanterns for the most difficult ones available.
- Brother Qian: The same principle applies - you combine three images to make one whole. The difficulty is in the fact that they're linked together this time.
- Brother Qian: Hehe, you'll see what I mean when you give it a try. This time, you're looking for a divine crane.
- Brother Qian: Once you've got the images to align, you can go find the treasure.
- (Talk to Brother Qian again)
- Brother Qian: This time, try and make a crane.
- (Talk to Brother Qian after completing the Illumiscreen and before inspecting it)
- Brother Qian: Wow. You, um, did it.
- Brother Qian: All in a day's work for you, huh? I gotta say, you're one heck of an adventurer.
- Brother Qian: Go take a look at the screens. You'll find all the treasure clues in there.
- (Upon inspecting the puzzle)
- Paimon: This picture looks like... a crane.
- Paimon: Still, where are the clues to the treasure?
- (Talk to Brother Qian after inspecting the Illumiscreen)
- Brother Qian: The treasure has all been prepared specially by the Guild. Happy hunting.
- (Upon reaching the spot at Guyun Stone Forest)
- Paimon: It feels like this should be the place...
- Paimon: Hmm, let's have a careful look around.
- (Upon returning to Brother Qian)
- Brother Qian: How is the treasure hunt going?
- I've found every last chest.
- Brother Qian: Wow, you managed to decipher all three images... That's impressive...
- Brother Qian: Ahem. The Guild has prepared an extra-special gift for you on account of you being such an accomplished adventurer.
- Brother Qian: See those chests? Go ahead and open them. The contents are all for you.
But if I take all the prizes...- Brother Qian: Yep, there'll be squat left for anyone else. That's adventuring for you! Finders keepers.
- Brother Qian: Alright then, happy Lantern Rite. Have a good one.
