Teleporting, also known as Blinking, is an ability that some enemies can perform, which consists of changing location without intermediate movement.
Enemies[]
Some enemies are able to teleport when certain conditions are met. While teleporting, enemies cannot be targeted. Any homing projectiles that locked onto an enemy before teleportation will stall at the enemy's last location before teleportation until either they expire or the enemy reappears, whichever happens first.
Enemy teleportation is usually based on either the player's location or the enemy's original spawn point, with certain degrees of randomness.
For example, Abyss Mages will teleport when shielded and too far away from the player. However, they have different criteria for their teleport destinations:
| Angle with target's orientation | ≤60° | ≤45° | ≤30° |
|---|---|---|---|
| Distance from target | 5m–7m | 1m–2.5m | 5m–7m |
| Area of teleport destination (rounded) | 25.1m² | 4.1m² | 12.6m² |
As a result, it can be observed that:
- Pyro Abyss Mages have the most randomness in their teleport destinations (as indicated by the largest landing area)
- Hydro and Cryo Abyss Mages' teleports are more predictable
- Electro Abyss Mages teleport extremely close to their targets
The following graphic shows the areas which different Abyss Mage types can teleport to relative to the player's position:

Special Teleports[]

Pyro Hypostasis: During the 3rd part of the 3-Hit Combo, the game will predict the player's location in the next 0.5 seconds based on their current movement. The Pyro Hypostasis will teleport 0-1m in front of this predicted location.
