Stars burst 'neath the frosted skies.
Starfrost Swirl is Mika's Elemental Skill.
Gameplay Notes[]
- When Flowfrost Arrow or Rimestar Flare hits at least one enemy, it generates 4 Elemental Particles.
- Rimestar Flare makes a viewfinder-like circle appears on the screen, which surrounds the aiming cursor. Rimestar Flare locks on the enemy that was in the circle, and unlocks on that enemy if the enemy moved away or if Mika turned away. If no enemy is locked, Rimestar Flare will be fired based on the aiming cursor, which is still able to hit enemies, explode into Rimestar Shards, and yield Elemental Particles.
- Rimestar Flare can only lock on enemies, including most hostile wildlife. Objects such as Elemental Monuments, Regisvines' shields, Shouki no Kami's Nirvana Engines, Spiders, and Defense Mechanisms will not be locked on. However, they can be hit by it if the skill is fired manually by aiming.
- Wildlife and enemies that are in a state where they would not be aggravated upon approach will still be locked on.
- Hostile wildlife that does not cause the player to enter combat mode, such as Forest Boars, cannot be locked on.
- If locked on, Rimestar Flare will home in on its target.
- Due to this, Mika cannot use his crossbow to target Weak Points while locked on, as the auto-targeting system does not aim for Weak Points. However, a manually-aimed Rimestar Flare fired from outside of the lock-on range can still hit Weak Points, although a CRIT Hit will not be guaranteed.
- Rimestar Flare's flying trajectory is notably different from the normal Bow Charged Attack. Its trajectory falls off faster.
- Mika can hold the skill for a maximum of 10 seconds. The skill is automatically released afterwards.
- Passive Effects
- Passive Talent 1,
Suppressive Barrage: "Per the following circumstances, the Soulwind state caused by Starfrost Swirl will grant characters the Detector effect, increasing their Physical DMG by 10% when they are on the field.
- If the Flowfrost Arrow hits more than one opponent, each additional opponent hit will generate 1 Detector stack.
- When a Rimestar Shard hits an opponent, it will generate 1 Detector stack. Each Rimestar Shard can trigger the effect 1 time.
- Passive Talent 2,
Topographical Mapping: "When an active character affected by both Skyfeather Song's Eagleplume and Starfrost Swirl's Soulwind at once scores a CRIT Hit with their attacks, Soulwind will grant them 1 stack of Detector from Suppressive Barrage. During a single instance of Soulwind, 1 Detector stack can be gained in this manner. Additionally, the maximum number of stacks that can be gained through Soulwind alone is increased by 1. Requires Suppressive Barrage to be unlocked first."
- Constellation Effects
- Constellation Level 1,
Factor Confluence: "The Soulwind state of Starfrost Swirl can decrease the healing interval between instances caused by Skyfeather Song's Eagleplume state. This decrease percentage is equal to the ATK SPD increase provided by Soulwind."
- Constellation Level 2,
Companion's Ingress: "When Starfrost Swirl's Flowfrost Arrow first hits an opponent, or its Rimestar Flare hits an opponent, 1 Detector stack from Passive Talent 'Suppressive Barrage' will be generated. You must have unlocked the Passive Talent 'Suppressive Barrage' first."
- Constellation Level 5,
Signal Arrow: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
- Constellation Level 6,
Companion's Counsel: "The maximum number of Detector stacks that Starfrost Swirl's Soulwind can gain is increased by 1. You need to have unlocked the Passive Talent 'Suppressive Barrage' first. Additionally, active characters affected by Soulwind will deal 60% more Physical CRIT DMG."

Trivia[]
- Using this skill on some idle enemies (not those in special idle animations) will cause them to walk over to the location of the fired shot to "investigate" before they may walk back. This behavior is similar to a normal Cryo arrow.
