- Reach Adventure Rank 20 or above to create seasonings.
- Reach Adventure Rank 28 or above and complete the quest "Idle Teapot Talk" to cook the corresponding dishes and invite characters to taste-test.
Summary[]
- Complete A Visitor From Westward Realms to take part in the event.
- During the event, help Nazafarin conduct her research by making seasonings according to the recipes provided to obtain rewards such as Primogems, Hero's Wit, Weapon Ascension Materials, and Mora.
- A new seasoning recipe will unlock on each of the first 7 days of the event. Follow the recipes to create "Fragrant Seasonings" and obtain corresponding rewards.
- Add the Fragrant Seasonings to Delicious dishes to obtain Fragrant dishes. You can invite characters to taste-test the Fragrant Dishes in your Serenitea Pot to increase their Companionship EXP and also hear their responses, which will vary based on the character's personal preferences. There is a limit on the number of times you can get Companionship EXP during the event.
- For each Fragrant Dish you share with a character, that respective character will gain 100 Companionship EXP.
- There are 21 opportunities to increase a character's Companionship EXP, with three unlocked with each recipe.
- Feeding a character already at Friendship Level 10 will not count towards the 21 opportunity limit.
- Reach Adventure Rank 28 and complete the "A Teapot to Call Home" quest to unlock the Serenitea Pot. You can accept the "Idle Teapot Talk" quest from Tubby in the Serenitea Pot. After completing the quest and obtaining "Realm Dispatch," you can cook the food and invite characters to sample it.
- If the maintenance of Serenitea Pot Placement Function has ended during the event, Travelers can invite companions who are resting to stay in Serenitea Pot and invite characters to try out food.
- After 2022/06/07 03:59:59, "Fragrant Seasonings" and "Fragrant Dishes" will be removed from your Inventory.
Tutorial[]
During the event, Travelers can utilize recipes that they unlock to create seasonings before adding these seasonings to "Delicious" dishes to obtain "Fragrant" dishes. Invite characters in your Serenitea Pot to try these Fragrant dishes out to increase their Companionship EXP and also receive different reactions from them based on their tastes.
When you begin making the seasonings, the needle on the slider will move back and forth from edge to edge. Follow the instructions given on the recipe and (taptap/clickclick/presspress) the button as the needle points to the corresponding ingredient to add them to the pot.
The number of (TapTap/ClickClick/PressPress) attempts you can make will decrease by 1 each time the needle reaches both ends, or when you make a mistake in adding an ingredient. Add the correct number of ingredients before you use up all your attempts and you will succeed, or this seasoning-making attempt shall be considered a failure.
The ingredients needed for this recipe can be found , purchased at or at , or via other methods.
Unlock the Serenitea Pot and complete the Idle Teapot Talk quest to invite characters into your Serenitea Pot to try your food. When they try your food, characters' Companionship EXP will increase, and they will also give comments based on their individual tastes.

Character Preferences[]
Travelers may invite characters to taste-test the Fragrant Dishes in their Serenitea Pot to increase their Companionship EXP. The characters' personal preferences vary, and they respond with different voice-overs and visual effects depending on how much they like what they are given.
For brevity and convenience, all reactions are considered to be Like, Neutral, or Dislike. Any dish not listed in a character's row garners a Neutral reaction from that character.
Trivia[]
- This event was planned to be released in Phase 2 of Version 2.6, but due to Serenitea Pot maintenance and the delay of Version 2.7, it was postponed to a new Phase 3.
- This event starts and ends in two different Versions (Version 2.6 and Version 2.7). It is the first limited-time non-mail in-game event to do so. It is also the second limited-time in-game event to do so, the first being "Savior From Another World" Aloy, which started in Version 2.1 and ended in Version 2.2.
- Fragrant dishes can be given to all characters released before or during the event, except for Aloy.
- The canonicity of playable characters' preferences during Spices From the West is questionable.
- Although Ganyu and her Character Stories say she is vegetarian, she also declines meatless dishes that include Bird Eggs or Milk, such as Fragrant Almond Tofu, Fragrant Satisfying Salad, and Fragrant Fisherman's Toast. This would make her vegan, and she does decline vegetable fritters that have been fried in animal fat outside of this event.[1] However, in the corresponding voice-over for this event (Receiving a Gift: III), Ganyu declines solely on the basis of the dish containing meat, which does not make sense when she declines meatless dishes.
- Zhongli politely declines all seafood, including Fragrant Grilled Tiger Fish and Fragrant Mondstadt Grilled Fish, but his Character Story That Which Rises From the Sea indicates that he only dislikes tentacled seafood and will happily eat even tentacled seafood that has been cut into small pieces. Zhongli's Character Story 1 also heavily implies that he has eaten Fullmoon Egg, which uses both cut and whole Shrimp. It therefore does not make sense that Zhongli declines even Grilled Tiger Fish and Mondstadt Grilled Fish, which are small portions[2] of cut fish.
