Fill in table info in #Enemy Shield Comparison

The following data contain details about elemental shields for the calculation of shield damages for elemental shields.

The data come from in-game testing and take source data as references.

Elemental Shields in Co-op

Some shields will increase their elemental gauges in Co-op mode.

The Co-op Multiplier is determined by the amount of players in the same area.

Players Multiplier
2 1.5
3 1.7
4 2

Enemy Data

The following are data on Gauge Units (GU) needed to break enemy shields.[1][2][3] See Shields/Enemy for definitions of damage ratio and HP ratio.

Note on Electro-Charged damage to shields

A single Electro-Charged reaction may deal multiple instances of gauge damage over time to the shield. This applies to certain Hydro and Electro enemy shields (e.g. Hydro Lector, Hydro/Electro Mage, Hydro Hypostasis Droplet). For example, on a Hydro Hypostasis Droplet (which requires 2.5 units of Electro/5 ticks of Electro-Charged damage to break):

  • One 1A Electro attack will deal 2 ticks of Electro-Charged damage to the shield
  • One 2B Electro attack will deal 4 ticks of Electro-Charged damage to the shield
  • One 4C Electro attack will deplete the shield (it will destroy the droplet in 5 ticks)

So for the Electro-Charged reaction, the gauge damage is spread over time rather than done all at once.

In the case of the Electro-Charged reaction, the convention used in this article is to count the number of gauge units of the element required to break the shield rather than the number of ticks of damage (as a single gauge unit application may deal multiple ticks of damage).

See Gauge Unit Theory for more details on how reaction gauges are handled.

  4. Each 1A Hydro attack will do 2 instances of damage from Electro-Charged. 10 1A Hydro attacks will apply 20 instances of damage which will remove the shield.
  5. Each 1A Electro attack will do 2 ticks of shield damage from the Electro-Charged reaction. In total 5 ticks of Electro-Charged damage or 2.5 gauge units of Electro are needed to break the shield. This means 3 1A attacks can destroy the droplet. The first two 1A attacks will each do 2 ticks of damage through Electro-Charged, dealing 4 instances total. The third 1A attack will then remove the shield in 1 tick.
