Relay Balls are an exploration mechanic in Natlan, primarily found at the Ancestral Temple and in Ochkanatlan.
A similar mechanic, Replica "Relay Balls," is used in the Phlogiston Extraction Research Center.

- "Relay Balls"
Balls that can be grabbed by the Scions of the Canopy using grappling hooks or Yumkasaurs using their own abilities. Once you obtain one, Hold to aim and Release to fire it.
If the ball flies onto a platform of the corresponding color, that platform will activate.
- "Ball Path Converters"
Once a Relay Ball has been thrown into the fixed area of a Ball Path Converter, it will fire the ball in the direction the Converter is facing after charging for a short time.
In this process, the Ball's color will change to that of the Converter.
- Replica "Relay Balls"?
Balls made of metal that can be grabbed by the Scions of the Canopy using grappling hooks or Yumkasaurs using their own abilities. Once you obtain one, Hold to aim and Release to fire.
If the ball flies onto a metal platform, that platform will activate.
However, these balls will not vanish, unlike real Relay Balls, so they can be removed from platforms that they are not locked to and re-used.
