Quick Start is a feature introduced in Version 2.6 that allows players to skip certain prerequisite Quests to start an Event's story and gameplay to earn rewards.[1] For new Archon Quests after Version 5.0, the Quick Start feature is available for certain quests as well.
Overview[]
Using the Quick Start feature may impact the player's experience, as the story and dialogue do not change based on whether the player has completed the recommended prerequisite quests or not. As a result, for players who enter an event using Quick Start, the event story may be incongruous with their progression outside of the event, and the event story may have spoilers for the quests they have not yet completed.
Not all quest requirements can be skipped with the Quick Start feature. For example, the Quick Start feature during Graven Innocence allowed players to participate in the event without completing the Archon Quest The Trail of the God of Wisdom in Chapter III: Act I - Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark, but players still needed to have completed the Archon Quest Prologue: Act I - The Outlander Who Caught the Wind.
No events released after Secret Summer Paradise in Version 3.8 utilize Quick Start, despite several events having Recommended Quests.

Trivia[]
- Not all quests that may enhance a player's experience are listed as recommended prerequisite quests.
- Hangout Events have never been recommended prerequisite quests even when the Traveler and Paimon are shown to have already been acquainted with a character that is only encounterable in a Hangout Event, such as Shikanoin Heizou during Akitsu Kimodameshi.
- Story Quests that would have been needed solely to acquaint the Traveler and Paimon with a character have also never been recommended prerequisite quests, even if they are the only way for the Traveler and Paimon to meet a character for the first time outside of events.
- For example, the Traveler and Paimon were already familiar with Hu Tao during The Exquisite Night Chimes, but her Story Quest was not listed as a requirement even though it was the only way to meet Hu Tao outside of events.
- Similarly, the Traveler and Paimon were already familiar with Klee, Albedo, and Xingqiu during Hues of the Violet Garden, but none of their Story Quests were listed as requirements even though they were the only way to meet Klee, Albedo, and Xingqiu outside of events.
- It is likely that a Story Quest only becomes a recommended prerequisite for an event when it provides further context for a character's actions in the event story (or if it changes the state of the world in-universe, such as with the removal of the Sakoku Decree in Raiden Shogun's Story Quest, Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II - Transient Dreams).
- For example, outside of events, Arataki Itto is only encounterable for the first time in his Story Quest; however, Arataki Itto's Story Quest, Taurus Iracundus Chapter: Act I - Rise Up, Golden Soul was not a recommended prerequisite for Hues of the Violet Garden despite the Traveler and Paimon's familiarity with him, but it was a recommended prerequisite for Akitsu Kimodameshi, which uses his connection with both youkai and humans as established in his Story Quest.
