Points of Interest (POIs) are specific noteworthy locations on the map, such as buildings and small parts of cities. Noteworthy locations often satisfy at least one of the following conditions:
- Has a name that shows up when entering the location in the open world, similar to subarea names
- Has a name used in official material, such as in NPC dialogue, books, and items
- Is an instance
- Provides a player service, such as being a shop
- Features special player interactions, such as being a bulletin board
- Has unique geographical or architectural features
- Has lore importance
