Physical is one of the eight damage types. The other seven are Elemental.

Sword, Claymore, and Polearm attacks deal Physical DMG by default, as do normal attacks from Bows and Aimed Shots that are not fully charged. Catalyst attacks cannot deal Physical DMG due to innately doing elemental damage with their normal and charged attacks. The only method of dealing Physical DMG as a catalyst-wielder is through Weapon Passives, as some Catalyst weapons like Eye of Perception and Skyward Atlas can deal additional DMG as Physical DMG, or Artifact set bonuses such as that of the Ocean-Hued Clam set.

Some Elemental Bursts can also deal Physical DMG, such as Eula's Glacial Illumination and Xinyan's Riff Revolution.

Brandishes her greatsword, dealing Cryo DMG to nearby opponents and creating a Lightfall Sword that follows her around for a duration of up to 7s.
While present, the Lightfall Sword increases Eula's resistance to interruption. When Eula's own Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst deal DMG to opponents, they will charge the Lightfall Sword, which can gain an energy stack once every 0.1s.
Once its duration ends, the Lightfall Sword will descend and explode violently, dealing Physical DMG to nearby opponents.
This DMG scales on the number of energy stacks the Lightfall Sword has accumulated.
If Eula leaves the field, the Lightfall Sword will explode immediately.
Elemental Burst

Freminet Freminet
Performs an upward thrust that deals Cryo DMG and causes Freminet to enter Pers Timer for 10s.
While Pers Timer is active, his Elemental Skill will turn into Shattering Pressure.

Shattering Pressure
Executes different sorts of attacks based on the Pressure Level of Pers Timer, and then cancels Pers Timer.
  • Level 0: Unleashes a vertical cut, dealing Cryo DMG.
  • Levels 1 to 3: Unleashes a vertical cut alongside Pers, dealing Cryo DMG and Physical DMG. DMG dealt scales based on Pressure Level.
  • Level 4: Borrows the power of a fully-pressurized Pers to deal Physical DMG. Meanwhile, Normal Attack: Flowing Eddies will be replaced by Shattering Pressure.

Pers Timer
When Freminet uses Normal Attacks, he will also unleash waves of frost that deal Cryo DMG and increase Pers's Pressure Level.
The accompanying Cryo DMG dealt this way is considered Elemental Skill DMG.

Arkhe: Pneuma
At certain intervals, after using the upward thrust, a Spiritbreath Thorn in the form of another upward thrust will be created, dealing Pneuma-aligned Cryo DMG.

Rebel's Banner-Hymn
A part of the "Millennial Movement" that wanders amidst the winds.
Increases ATK by 16~32%, and when Normal or Charged Attacks hit opponents, the character gains a Sigil of Whispers. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s.
When you possess four Sigils of Whispers, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the "Millennial Movement: Banner-Hymn" effect for 12s.
"Millennial Movement: Banner-Hymn" increases Normal ATK SPD by 12~24% and increases ATK by 20~40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Whispers for 20s.
Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement", buffs of the same type will not stack.
