This is essentially a consolation-prize currency.

When purchasing Wishes, if a player pulls a character already owned or a 4/5-Star weapon, they will receive Masterless Starglitter as a reward, the amount rewarded differs on the rarity of the item, as well as how many times a player has pulled duplicates of that same character before.

It can be exchanged for rarer items, Fates and up to two monthly-rotating 4-Star characters in Paimon's Bargains.

Rates:

  • Pulling a duplicate 4-Star character with incomplete Constellation: 2x Masterless Starglitter (as well as 1x their Stella Fortuna)
  • Pulling a duplicate 4-Star character with completed Constellation: 5x Masterless Starglitter
  • Pulling a 4-Star weapon: 2x Masterless Starglitter
  • Pulling a duplicate 5-Star character with incomplete Constellation: 10x Masterless Starglitter (as well as 1x their Stella Fortuna)
  • Pulling a duplicate 5-Star character with completed Constellation: 25x Masterless Starglitter
  • Pulling a 5-Star weapon: 10x Masterless Starglitter

Obtaining Starglitter is beyond a player's control. However, it'll naturally build up over time as players buy more Wishes. For those who don't want to spend real money on Wishes, Primogems acquired in-game can be spent for Wishes, instead. It's not a bad consolation prize by any means, but it can take a while to acquire enough Starglitter to actually buy a character.
