Manifestation Mechanisms and Signal Spirits are an exploration mechanic in Great Red Sand, Sumeru found in the Desert of Hadramaveth.
Upon starting the challenge, a Signal Spirit will begin orbiting the player. A blue arrow will appear next to the previous Manifest Mechanism and point towards the next one, marked by a yellow pillar of light. Each mechanism effectively acts as a checkpoint for the challenge until the final location has been reached.
If the player strays too far from the intended delivery path, the message "You are about to exit delivery range" will appear. Continuing in the wrong direction will immediately return the Signal Spirit to the previous Manifestation Mechanism.
Each delivery between Manifestation Mechanisms has a time limit (usually 60 seconds), during which the Signal Spirit will gradually shrink. However, this visual effect will reset upon switching characters, making it unreliable in practice.
