Dialogue[]

Dialogue Set #1[]

Lawaia: An easy-breezy Natlan in an easy-breezy summer! Welcome to the Shoal's Haven! Ah, here comes someone with an aroma of freshness...
An aroma of freshness?
Lawaia: Absolutely. My nose is sharp enough to tell the difference between today's catch and yesterday's catch, as well as tell fresh customers apart from overnight people.
What exactly is an "overnight person"?
Lawaia: They're like a fish that was caught the night before — they smell a little off. Take Teuciztli, for example...
Lawaia: He'll keep leftover seafood from the day before and continue to sell it. But just one day is enough to pollute the freshness with a little bit of decay.
Lawaia: Even though eating it won't make you sick, we take pride in selling fresh food every day. So, just like his fish, Teuciztli is very much "overnight".
Lawaia: But as long as I'm here, you can rest assured that I'll give you only the freshest fish. I can't stand the stench of cooking with anything less, and that's why I throw out all the old fish on the sly.
You're not scared the boss'll find out?
Lawaia: He won't find out if you don't snitch. You're fresh, people like you don't mix with his type.
Lawaia: (Lawaia gives you a playful wink.)
(Unlocks an additional dialogue option for Teuciztli)
How's business today? (Available if the player covers for Lawaia — one-time dialogue)
Lawaia: It's not bad at all. What's strange, though, is today's catch was suddenly much fresher.
Lawaia: The boss even came to tell me that I'd been working hard lately, and he gave me some Mora as thanks. Talk about a turnaround...
Lawaia: I'm starting to suspect something... Did he hear about the things I said?
Lawaia: Bah, whatever. It's not every day that free Mora just falls into your lap. Here, have some — consider it a token of good fortune.
(Obtain Mora Mora ×10,000)
See you.
Lawaia: Take care, and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Dialogue Set #2[]

Available if Lawaia was fired by Teuciztli.

Lawaia: An easy-breezy Natlan in an easy-breezy summer! Welcome to The Dewdrop bar... Oh hey, it's you!
What are you doing here?
Lawaia: Hah! I was brought here by the whims of fate!
Lawaia: Just a few days after we met, all of a sudden, Teuciztli said I had to go. I wonder if someone was speaking ill about me...
Lawaia: Don't make that face. It was just a job — it's no big loss.
Lawaia: And when I got here, I realized it was actually a good thing. Don't you agree the scenery on Tete Isle is much better than Easybreeze Market?
Lawaia: There aren't so many fresh ladies and gentlemen over there... I should've left that place long ago!
Heh... Mr. Brightside here...
Lawaia: Sure, that's me! Yesterday is yesterday, today is today, and tomorrow is always a new day.
Lawaia: All bad things should be treated just like fish — thrown out when the day is done. That's the secret to keeping life fresh.
Lawaia: (Lawaia gives you a playful wink.)
