The following table describes the level scaling. Note that values may change in Co-Op, some Quests, and certain Domains (such as the Spiral Abyss). The change usually involves multiplying some of the values by a constant scale factor.
Behavior and Attacks
Similarly to its small version, it will only attack when ignited.
While ignited it can:
- Attack by spewing three consecutive fireballs that have a parabolic trajectory and deal Pyro damage to its target.
- Attack or by jumping high up and crushing down on its target, dealing Pyro damage.
If it dies while affected by Pyro, a few seconds later, it will explode dealing AoE Pyro damage.
If extinguished, it will retreat and re-ignite after some time.
If you have a Hydro character in the party it can save you from some damage, though the extinguishing doesn't really bring any real benefit, as the explosion it causes upon death can easily be dodged. The extra damage from Vaporize, on the other hand, is well worth it. Alternatively Melt can be used although be careful against its suicide attack.
Using Electro to cause Overloaded is not very beneficial, as when the Pyro slimes are alone, the brunt of the damage produced by the reaction does not affect them. This is because most of the damage caused by Overloaded is Pyro.
Using Geo characters against them is a good idea as causing Crystallize will provide you with a shield against its Pyro damage. Otherwise, the Anemo Traveler is able to control them with the Skill Palm Vortex.
