The Kujou Clan (Japanese: 九条家 Kujou-ke) is a clan that serves the Raiden Shogun, heading the Tenryou Commission. The clan includes branch families, such as the Takatsukasa. They are generally regarded as the most loyal and powerful of the major families supporting the Shogun's rule.
Their estate is situated directly adjacent to the imperial palace of Tenshukaku.
- Kujou Takayuki — Tenryou Commissioner (Former Clan Head)
- Kujou Masahito
- Kujou Kamaji — Proxy Clan Head (Acting Clan Head)
- Kujou Sara (Adopted)
- The clan is most likely inspired by the Kujou Family, one of the five noblest aristocratic families in Japan. During the ancient and feudal periods of Japan (from the 9th to the 19th centuries), except a few rare cases, only the heads of these five families were conventionally entitled to be the regent and chief advisor of an emperor.
