Illuga (Pronounced "It-lu-a") is an upcoming playable Geo character in Genshin Impact.
He is a young man who serves as the Captain of the Lightkeepers' investigation squad known as the Nightmare Orioles. His past experiences dealing with The Wild Hunt has driven him to care deeply for every squadmate under his command and ensure they never face the same tragedies he once endured.
Official Introduction[]
"Illuga's very grateful for the Knights of Favonius's help in battle. Unfortunately, he's gone off on another investigation, so he asked me to give you this bottle of wine as a token of his thanks."
"Haha, that's very kind of him! But honestly, he's the one who worked the hardest. Ah, too bad he's not here. I can't exactly refuse... How about we open it here? I'll tell you all about how promising the kid really is..."
"Heh, drinking's fine, but don't try to poach Illuga from me while you're at it."
For new members joining the Lightkeepers, few things are more fortunate than having a leader like Illuga. Though Lightkeepers witness the tragic aftermath of the Wild Hunt's rampages every day, and the atmosphere in their quarters can often grow heavy and oppressive, Illuga somehow remains positive. He not only manages all tasks efficiently but also offers careful, thoughtful support to his teammates. Walking beside him, it feels as if even the lantern in your hand glows a little warmer.
Some people wonder why someone like him hasn't chosen to work in logistics, but instead insists on going to the dangerous frontlines. Without unwavering resolve and strong inner drive, even optimistic smiles will one day be drowned by the purple-black despair. Yet whenever they hear Illuga recite the Lightkeepers' oath with conviction, such doubts vanish from their hearts — undoubtedly, beneath his gentle exterior burns a fierce, blazing fire.
What are the ideals and beliefs of the Lightkeepers? This is the question newcomers ask most often, and each Lightkeeper would answer differently. Yet there is always a common thread in these answers — protection and salvation, steadfastness and unwavering resolve. They speak of a bright outcome, or a noble vision, grand and magnificent beyond measure.
But Illuga desires little beyond defeating the Wild Hunt, for he realizes that, in its current state, Piramida already embodies that ideal.
Only those who have endured the nightmare can truly grasp how precious the daylight is. What he wishes to protect is simple — the present.

| Dawnbearing Songbird | Elemental Skill | |
| Summons the trusty messenger bird, "Aedon." Different effects are produced depending on whether the skill is Tapped or Held. Tap Aedon dashes towards enemies in front, dealing Geo DMG to enemies it comes into contact with. Hold Enter aiming mode, and command Aedon to dash towards opponents being aimed at, dealing Geo DMG to opponents it comes into contact with. | ||
| Shadowless Reflection | Elemental Burst | |
| Light the lamp, dealing AoE Geo DMG, and gain Haunted Night's Oriole-Song effect for 20s. When this effect is active, Illuga gains 21 stacks of Nightingale's Song. When Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts of nearby active party members deal Geo DMG to opponents, 1 stack of Nightingale’s Song is consumed to increase the DMG dealt. Increase in DMG is based on Illuga’s Elemental Mastery. If DMG is inflicted by Lunar-Crystallize, DMG dealt will increase further. When Geo DMG dealt in this manner hits multiple opponents, multiple stacks of Nightingale's Song will be consumed, depending on how many opponents are hit. Additionally, if there are Geo Constructs created by nearby party members on the battlefield while Illuga unleashes his Elemental Burst, or when nearby party members create Geo Constructs while Haunted Night's Oriole-Song is active, every Geo Construct on the battlefield will allow Illuga to gain 5 additional stacks of Nightingale's Song. Within 20s after unleashing his Elemental Burst, Illuga can gain a maximum of 15 additional stacks of Nightingale’s Song this way. When all stacks of Nightingale's Song have been consumed, or when the state's duration ends, the Haunted Night's Oriole-Song effect will end. | ||
