Talent Guide to Afterlife.pngGuide to AfterlifeElemental Skill
Hu Tao consumes a part of her HP, knocking nearby enemies back and entering the Paramita Papilio State.

Paramita Papilio State:

  • Increases Hu Tao's ATK based on her Max HP at the time of entering this state. ATK Bonus gained this way cannot exceed 400% of Hu Tao's Base ATK.
  • Hu Tao's attack DMG is converted to Pyro DMG, which cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion.
  • Increases Hu Tao's resistance to interruption.
  • In the Paramita Papilio state, Hu Tao's Charged Attacks apply the Blood Blossom effect to enemies it hits.

Blood Blossom Effect:
Enemies affected by Blood Blossom will take Pyro DMG every 4s.
This DMG is considered Elemental Skill DMG.
Each enemy can be affected by only one Blood Blossom effect at a time, and its duration may only be refreshed by Hu Tao herself.
Paramita Papilio ends when its duration is over, or when Hu Tao has left the battlefield or fallen.

  • The first buffed attack that hits enemy generates 2.5 elemental particles. ~5s after this first attack, the next buffed attack that hits an enemy generates 2.5 elemental particles.
  • While Paramita Papilio State is active, Hu Tao doesn't step back before charging forward. This makes her Charged Attacks under this state faster than normal.

Notes

  1. In Hu Tao's CN character trailer, she says that 胡 () is her family name and 桃 (Táo) is her given name.
  2. フータオ is actually a standard recognized reading of 胡桃, mostly used to describe the ingredient or food in Chinese cuisine.
  3. The eumdok of 桃 is 도 (do). The shift from 도 (do) to 두 (du) can be attributed to a corruption. The proper Sino-Korean reading, 호도 (ho-do), still exists as an alternate form of 호두 (ho-du). Some believe 호두 to be a corruption from a Sino-Korean borrowing of (haek-do).
