HOYO-MiX is the in-house music studio of HoYoverse, responsible for the production of the company's original game music. They have produced music for all of HoYoverse's games, including Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, and Tears of Themis.

Genshin Impact
Chen in "Songs of Travelers" — Behind the Scenes of the Music of Liyue
Yu-Peng "Zhiyi" Chen (陈宇鹏)
Yu-Peng Chen, also known as Zhiyi Chen (陈致逸),[1] is the lead music producer of Genshin Impact. He composed the original music for the Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma regions. In addition, he has performed various instruments for his work with the piano being the most common. Some soundtracks are based on or adapted from Chen's previous works.
For his work on Genshin Impact, Chen was awarded "Outstanding Artist — Newcomer/Breakthrough" in the Annual Game Music Awards 2020.[2] Chen graduated from the Music Engineering Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and majored in Music Design and Production. There he studied under Professor Dong An, a well-known composer and producer, who later got involved as a music supervisor in the recording of the Liyue soundtrack.[3][4] Prior to Genshin Impact, Chen worked on film and television scoring.[5]
Qian Ding (丁谦)
Qian Ding is a music producer and sound designer,[6] and has been part of HOYO-MiX since April 2021.[7] He was introduced as a composer and arranger in the album The Stellar Moments Vol. 2 (2022) where he was credited for the track Good Hunting on a New Horizon. Next, Ding composed two tracks in Islands of the Lost and Forgotten (2022): The Long Dark Night and Soft Moans of the Remains. In Millelith's Watch, he composed the music for the Nameless Ruins and Stony Halls areas of The Chasm.
Jiade He (何迦德)
Jiade He is a music arranger and has been a member of HOYO-MiX since March 2019.[8] She was introduced in the album The Shimmering Voyage (2021) where she was credited as an orchestrator for many soundtracks.
She previously collaborated with Yu-Peng Chen for the 2018 Moonlight Blade song titled 梦留别.[9] Both later collaborated with Dimeng Yuan for the song Saying Sword[10] and Chen's album Being Towards Death[11] in 2019.
Yijun "Yijun.J" Jiang (姜以君)
Yijun Jiang is musician who has been part of HOYO-MiX since July 2021.[12] Jiang was previously involved in the Honkai Impact 3rd album Paradox (2022), where they composed, arranged, and mixed the tracks Sweet Trap and Devouring Snake. For Genshin Impact, they contributed to a number of Enkanomiya soundtracks in the album Islands of the Lost and Forgotten (2022) as a composer, orchestrator, mixer, and for performing the electric guitar. Jiang next composed many soundtracks in Millelith's Watch (2022) for The Chasm, a larger participation compared to the previous album.
Simai Wang (王斯迈)
Simai Wang was first introduced as an orchestrator in the album The Shimmering Voyage (2021) where they were credited for the soundtrack Fateful Departing. Later in the album The Stellar Moments Vol. 2 (2022), Wang arranged and performed the electric guitar for the soundtrack Shadow of Nemesis; they also arranged and did the audio mixing and mastering for Broker Betwixt Life and Death.
Dimeng Yuan (苑迪萌)
Dimeng Yuan was first introduced as a co-composer and arranger in The Stellar Moments (2021), and later debuted as a solo composer in The Stellar Moments Vol. 2 (2022). Yuan was also involved in producing several tracks in The Shimmering Voyage (2021), Fleeting Colors in Flight (2022), Islands of the Lost and Forgotten (2022), and Millelith's Watch (2022). His instrumental performances include the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, and steel guitar. He was featured as a guest in the official HOYO-MiX Q&A Column of Echoes.
Yuan graduated from Shanghai Conservatory for Music and studied film scoring at New York University.[13][14]
Yuan previously collaborated with fellow HOYO-MiX member Yu-Peng Chen for various projects. In 2014, they produced the soundtrack for the thriller film Jing Cheng 81 Hao.[15] In 2017, Yuan and Chen produced a song for 铠甲勇士铠传 (Armor Hero Chronicles).[16] For the MMORPG Moonlight Blade, they worked on the song Saying Sword[17] in 2019.
Xin Zhao (赵鑫)
Xin Zhao was first introduced in the album Fleeting Colors in Flight (2022), credited for performing the electric guitar and acoustic guitar for the track Myriad of Lights. Later, they participated as a composer and arranger and did audio mixing and mastering in The Stellar Moments Vol. 2 (2022); Zhao composed Devotion of the Keeper and co-composed Tactician's Grit with Yu-Peng Chen. Zhao later composed and orchestrated several tracks in Islands of the Lost and Forgotten (2022). For Millelith's Watch (2022), they composed the music for the Underground Waterway area of The Chasm.
Honkai Impact 3rd
Jinhan "Zoe" Cai (蔡近翰)
Jinhan Cai, also known as Zoe Cai,[18] is the music director of miHoYo and the leader of HOYO-MiX.[19] He was originally the brand manager of miHoYo before becoming attached to the company through the song Honkai World Diva.[20] Cai has been heavily involved in the music production for Honkai Impact 3rd as a composer and other roles. He was also part of the music production for Genshin Impact and Tears of Themis.
Wei "Cuiwei" Cui (崔巍)
Wei Cui was first introduced in the albums Yesterday and Alive (2021) as a composer, arranger, and mixer of several soundtracks. Cui also contributed to the first Tears of Themis original soundtrack album Encounter (2021).
Qi "Gon" Gong (宫奇)
Qi Gong is a sound designer and composer.[21] He was first introduced as the audio mixer for the soundtrack Befall in the album 崩坏3-Impact (2018) and did his first composition work in 崩坏3-Onwards (2019). Gong would become more involved in music production as seen in Yesterday (2019) where he composed, arranged, and mixed several soundtracks all by himself.
Jinghao "Hao" Li (李敬浩)
Jinghao Li was first introduced as the composer of most soundtracks in 崩坏3-Impact (2018). He contributed to several more albums such as Honkai Impact 3rd - A Post-Honkai Odyssey (2020), Yesterday and Alive (2021), and Paradox (2022).
Chi "Vinchi" Wen (文驰)
Chi Wen was first introduced as a composer of several soundtracks in the 2020 album Honkai Impact 3rd - Review. Next, he was involved in Yesterday and Alive (2021) where he also took on arrangement and audio mixing. Wen contributed to more Honkai Impact 3rd albums and singles after.
He was featured as a guest in the official HOYO-MiX Q&A Column of Echoes (Part IV).
Chunqing "Eyn" Yin (尹纯青)
Chunqing Yin is a former member of HOYO-MiX (2017-2019)[22] who contributed to music production and lyric writing. She was first credited as the lyricist of the song Befall in 2018, and then wrote the 2019 single Cyberangel. Yin also composed a few soundtracks for the game Tears of Themis.
Yin graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2015 with a degree in Bachelor of Music Design and Production.[22]

Yujie "JODODO" Zheng (郑宇界)
Yujie Zheng, also known as Xiaoyu Zheng (郑小宇),[23] is one of the earliest members of HOYO-MiX. He composed several soundtracks in 崩坏3 (2018) and 崩坏3-Onwards (2019); he also produced the 2020 singles Hidden Heart, 未定的注定 and Incarnation. Zheng later contributed to music of the game Tears of Themis.
Zheng was part of the Chinese-Korean music trio 萬萬小宇宙wawajodo as a producer. The group was represented by WebTVAsia and only active from 2016 to 2017.

Qixiang "Frex" Yang (杨启翔)
Qixiang Yang was first credited as a co-arranger for the single Rubia (2021). Later, Yang composed many soundtracks in the Tears of Themis soundtrack albums Encounter (2021) and 誓约 (2022).
