The building is an old home owned by the Nui family, which they turned into a restaurant at Chief Amina's suggestion.[1] Business is steady, but they are frequently short-staffed. They provide a wide range of services for guests, including use of the kitchen facilities and tents for those who want to sleep near the water.[2]
The Golden Dusk has held 242 iterations of the Inferno Stomach Supremo contest, a regional eating competition. The current champion is Varesa of the Collective of Plenty.[2]
