All moderators and administrators are expected to follow and comply to the Wiki Guidelines to the best of their abilities. Please carefully review and reference our guidelines so that you may better understand the policies set in place. Inappropriate behavior or severe misconduct may result in disciplinary action. RollbackRollback is not specifically a permission reserved for Moderation Positions, however it is a moderation capability nonetheless that may be granted to trusted editors for the sole intent of reverting vandalism or problematic edits. Rollback should not be used for reverting anything other than inappropriate additions, numerous erroneous edits, or vandalism. If there is a questionable or incorrect edit, please undo the revision rather than reverting the revision whenever possible, which will allow you to provide a reason when undoing a user's edit. Users can learn more about reverting content here. Moderation PositionsThread ModeratorsThread Moderators are responsible for the following duties:

Users are not allowed to link to or have inappropriate content in their profile or messages, and they are not allowed to share leaked content in messages. Off-topic chatter is not prohibited, provided they do not abuse the Fandom message walls for nefarious purposes. If a user has uploaded an image that is exclusive used for their user profile, Content Moderators should categorize the file under Category:User Profile Images. SOAPAdministrators and Moderators should only request assistance from SOAP under the following circumstances:
Notices and WarningsNotices and Warnings are issued to users that have violated the wiki guidelines, as a way of formally informing users of a guideline violation, as well as to maintain a record of a user's infractions. Notices can be a less imposing way of informing a user of a minor infraction, or to just simply inform a user why their edit or post was deleted. Warnings on the other hand are a stricter way of informing a user that they have violated the rule, and holds more value when it comes to determining consequential action from users with numerous infractions. Please try your best to be polite in your Notices and Warnings. Each administrator or moderator may have their own viewpoints and leniencies to issue a Notice or Warning, however all staff should remember to be fair and mindful. Take into account their previous infraction history, if any, and similar cases handled by fellow staff. A general rule of thumb is to provide users with a Notice for informative and very minor infractions, a Warning for more severe infractions, or if a notice was not sufficient enough, and if a user continues to ignore advisory warnings, staff may request or may impose a block on the user. A proper warning or notice will generally look like this, however you are not required to follow this format, and are free to write this message in any other preference you choose: BlockingBlocking is performed by administrators, either by moderator request or by an administrator's own volition whenever a user has severely infringed the guidelines of the wiki. As illustrated from the wiki guidelines, blocks are only to be placed for users who are found to have ignored warnings issued to them, or those who are severely being disruptive and problematic to the site and its users, such as vandalism. The duration of blocks are ultimately reserved to the discretion of administrators, however any placed blocks should be fair and proportionate to the user's violations. Please remember to practice good faith whenever possible. Block durations will vary on the user's history of infractions, past block history, and the severity of the infraction. Generally, block durations will progressively become longer proportionate to their block history. Users suspected to be underage should not only be locally blocked for the user's suspected remainder duration, but be reported to the assigned Wiki Representative for further action. This should only be done if you have sufficient enough evidence that the suspected user is underage, such as self-admittance. Third-party sources are not an acceptable form of evidence. Once a user has been blocked, the moderator who requested the block should write a message informing the blocked user that they have been blocked, the reasons that lead up to the block, and a link to the Appeal System. Administrators should also write this message if they blocked a user without any moderator involvement. Sample block message: |
