Trivia[]
Etymology[]
- In Zoroastrianism, fravashi (Avestan: 𐬟𐬭𐬀𐬎𐬎𐬀𐬴𐬌 fravaṣ̌i) is the "higher soul" or "essence" of an individual — either living, dead, or yet unborn — that is incarnated in the material world to combat evil. The term typically refers to the beneficent spirits of dead ancestors, whose protection is invoked by means of ritual offerings.[1]
