Strategy[]
- Dodging the Cleansing Shower orbs or having characters with high Energy Recharge is beneficial for this fight as having low Energy can prove to be fatal if the player cannot dodge their Cleansing Shower attacks.
- The pillars that the Bolteater Vishap jumps onto are Geo Constructs and can be easily destroyed using Blunt Attacks. Alternatively, try to stay far away from the Bolteater Vishap, as the orbs are harder to dodge while up close.
Achievements[]
There are 2 Achievements obtainable from Coral Defenders:
Achievement | Category | Description | |
---|---|---|---|
Swimming Prohibited | Challenger: Series V | Defeat the Bathysmal Vishap Herd without allowing them to dive into the water. | 5 |
Hard Landing | Wonders of the World | Bring a climbing Bathysmal Vishap down. | 5 |
With Sleet and Storm[]
Defeat the Rimebiter Bathysmal Vishap and the Bolteater Bathysmal Vishap to prove your valor.
Event Variant[]
Descriptions[]
They have been specifically bred and selected by the people of Enkanomiya, which has given them their exceptional strength. Of course, no vishap would consider this some sort of debt to be repaid.
The strongest members of the herd can use different elements, which they wield as a show of their hatred.
Soundtracks[]
No. | Soundtrack Name | Album | Played In |

60 | No Turning Back | Islands of the Lost and Forgotten | Combat in Dainichi Mikoshi: Coral Defenders Event Gameplay |
Trivia[]
- Despite being a herd which would consist of numerous members, this challenge only consists of two boss enemies.
- This also makes it the first normal boss challenge that doesn't consist of a single, unique enemy. The other such challenge, the Dual Maguu Kenki, is only a variant of the Maguu Kenki challenge, and is only found in events and the Spiral Abyss.
- The Coral Defenders were the first Normal Boss with their own battle music, No Turning Back, a remix of Beats of Water Drops.
- The Coral Defenders are the only Normal Boss that lacks an archive entry. Rather, the Bolteater Bathysmal Vishap and Rimebiter Bathysmal Vishap have their own archive entries.
- If the Coral Defenders are killed with one of them in a Critical Assist state, the vishap in that state will simply disappear with no death animation played.
- The walls in the boss fight used for skills such as Assist are considered Geo Constructs.
