Unlike their Skirmisher cousins, soldiers of the Oprichniki are formally recruited and rigorously trained. They are deployed either to the Fatui's most critical strongholds or thrown into the deadliest frontline battles.
Fatui Oprichniki are Common Enemies found across Nod-Krai. While closely related to their Skirmisher counterparts, the Oprichniki's ranks are drawn from trained volunteers, with its officers coming from the Snezhnaya Royal Military Academy. The Fatui Oprichniki make use of kuuvahki-powered equipment.
Types[]
Low-ranking oprichniki have relatively low HP and ATK and primarily deal Physical DMG. However, they can deal Elemental DMG to some degree with their equipment.
During specific attacks, the oprichnik's equipment will be infused with kuuvakhi, during which a player attuned to kuuvahki can interrupt it and disarm them, leaving them to fight with punches and kicks.

Higher-ranking oprichniki have higher HP and ATK and exclusively deal Elemental DMG. Similarly to their lower-ranked counterparts, the oprichniki's equipment will glow during specific attacks, during which a player attuned to kuuvahki can interrupt it, but their equipment will remain intact.

Trivia[]
- Unlike other Fatui enemies who fade away upon defeat, the Fatui Oprichniki simply puffs away in a cloud of smoke similar to the Treasure Hoarders and the Sauroform Tribal Warriors.
- A handful of regular male oprichniki can be seen performing the prisiadki, a type of dance traditionally performed by males. It is known in English as the squat dance.
Etymology[]
- The Oprichniki (sometimes called the "Oprichnina") was a state policy implemented by Ivan the Terrible between 1565 and 1584 in Russia, which included the country's first secret police. The policy included the mass repression of the aristocratic boyars and their public executions.
- Gvardiya (Russian: Гвардия) is Russian for "guard."
