Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom is a Weekly Boss challenge found in Joururi Workshop.

Rules[]

  • Trounce Domains contain unusually powerful opponents. After successfully completing the challenge, you can obtain abundant rewards.
  • Players can complete this domain as many times as they want, but can only collect rewards once per week by using 30 Original Resin to open the Ley Line Blossom for the first three Weekly Bosses, and 60 Original Resin subsequently. Rewards are refreshed with Weekly World Reset.

Ley Line Disorder[]

  • Some of Shouki no Kami's attacks will create Energy Blocks. Pick these blocks up to recharge the Neo Akasha Terminal. Once it has energy, the Neo Akasha Terminal can be put to various uses.
  • When you are standing over an Elemental Matrix on the ground during the battle's first phase, you can activate the matrix's effect(s):
    • Pyro: Clears the Raw Frost effect from the ground.
    • Cryo: Clears the Remnant Flame effect from the ground.
    • Anemo: Creates an Upcurrent with which you can dodge some of Shouki no Kami's attacks.
    • Hydro: Creates a continuous healing effect.
    • Electro: Suppresses Shouki no Kami. Activate the other Electro Matrix while a suppression effect is active to overload and paralyze him.
  • During the battle's second phase, charge the Neo Akasha Terminal fully to allow it to hit Shouki no Kami with a more powerful aimed attack which will deplete his shield. Additionally, when Shouki no Kami is charging his Setsuna Shoumetsu attack, this sort of attack can be used to hit his weak spot, toppling him over and immobilizing him.

Phase 1[]

In Phase 1, small and large Energy Blocks will charge the Neo Akasha Terminal by 50% and 100% respectively. When the Neo Akasha Terminal's energy is full, it can be used to activate elemental matrices on the ground.

  • Other than producing the effects described by the Ley Line Disorder, elemental matrices will also generate 5 Energy particles of the corresponding element upon activation.
  • Elemental matrices will enter cooldown once activated.

Raw Frost/Remnant Flame
Description
When Shouki no Kami uses Cryo or Pyro attacks, they will cover tiles of the floor with the Raw Frost or Remnant Flame effect. Affected floor tiles will deal 5% ATK as Cryo DMG or 15% ATK as Pyro DMG every 0.5s when stepped on.

Strategy
Activate the Pyro or Cryo matrices to clear the Raw Frost or Remnant Flame effects respectively.

Arm Slam
Slams one arm down and creates a shockwave, dealing 75% ATK, 100% ATK as Pyro DMG or Cryo DMG. After some time, swipes his arm across the arena, dealing 100% ATK as Pyro DMG or Cryo DMG to players in its path. A large Energy Block will spawn after this attack.
Arm Combo
Moves one arm across the arena while continuously spraying ice or fire from the palm, dealing 100% ATK as Cryo DMG or Pyro DMG every 0.1s, then slams his other arm down, dealing 66% ATK as Pyro DMG or Cryo DMG. A large Energy Block will spawn after this attack.
Waterspout
Summons 3 vortexes that pull nearby players in while dealing 33% ATK as Anemo DMG every 0.5s, then transforms them into waterspouts that move around the arena and deal 50% ATK as Hydro DMG every 0.5s. Each waterspout will leave a small Energy block at its location after disappearing.
Electrostreak
Description
Shoots a massive beam at the floor, dealing 50% ATK as Electro DMG every 0.5s across the entire arena. At the end of the attack, unleashes a more powerful shockwave, dealing 100% ATK as Electro DMG across the entire arena. A large Energy Block will spawn after this attack.

Strategy
Use the Wind Current created by the Anemo matrix to avoid this attack entirely.

Shard Rain
Summons countless Electro shards to rain down, each dealing 100% ATK as Electro DMG. Afterwards, forms 2 large prisms that travel towards the player, each dealing 50% ATK as Electro DMG upon landing. 2 small Energy Blocks will spawn after this attack.
Laser Array
Summons an array of of laser cannons to surround himself, continuously rotating and firing off many large laser beams that deal 100% ATK as Electro DMG on hit. A large Energy Block will spawn after this attack.
Partial Paralysis Recovery
If one of the Electro matrices is activated, Shouki no Kami will raise one of his hands and summon thunderbolts to strike down, dealing 66% ATK as Electro DMG. Some thunderbolts will target randomly and spawn a small Energy Block upon landing, while some directly target the player and do not spawn Energy Blocks. If the second Electro matrix is not activated after ~15 seconds, Shouki no Kami will recover from this partially paralyzed state.

Phase 2[]

In Phase 2, small and large Energy Blocks will charge the Neo Akasha Terminal by 25% and 50% respectively. When fully charged, its aimed attack will become available. Additionally, Four-Leaf Sigils will spawn together with Energy Blocks in this phase. In this phase, when a character attack hits Shouki no Kami, it will generate 3 orbs with a 50% chance for a 4th. Each orb will charge the Neo Akasha Terminal by 2.5%. The orb generation has a cooldown of 3.5 seconds.

Shouki no Kami will start with a shield that increases his RES by 200%. The Neo Akasha Terminal will continuously fire at Shouki no Kami and slowly deplete his shield. The Neo Akasha Terminal's aimed attack will significantly damage the shield.

When the shield is depleted, Shouki no Kami will slowly lose HP due to the Neo Akasha Terminal's attacks. If hit by the aimed attack while not shielded, Shouki no Kami will lose HP equal to 20% of his Max HP.

Triple Earthshock
Performs a 3-part combo consisting of a stomp with his foot and 2 slams with his arm, dealing 75% ATK, 75% ATK, 100% ATK as Electro DMG. The final slam sends out an expanding wave that deals 50% ATK as Electro DMG. A small Energy Block will spawn after this attack.
Thunder Lance
Thrusts two pairs of massive lances into the ground. Each deals 100% ATK as Electro DMG on landing and will continue to deal 25% ATK as Electro DMG every 0.5s in the impacted area. A large Energy Block will spawn after this attack.
Bomb Scatter
Scatters many Cryo, Hydro, and Pyro bombs on the floor, each dealing 50% ATK as Cryo DMG, Hydro DMG, or Pyro DMG upon landing, then conjures countless sparks that strike the ground randomly, each dealing 100% ATK as Cryo DMG, Hydro DMG, or Pyro DMG.
  • If destroyed using Elemental Reactions, a large Energy Block will spawn at the bomb's location.
  • If not destroyed, the bombs will explode after a period of time, dealing 100% ATK as Cryo DMG, Hydro DMG, or Pyro DMG.

Cosmic Bombardment
Forms an array of orbs that continuously fires projectiles targeting a large strike zone, each dealing 100% ATK as Electro DMG. Afterwards, summons many thunderous beams to strike straight down across the entire arena, each dealing 100% ATK as Electro DMG. A small Energy Block and a large Energy Block will spawn after this attack.
Double Charge
Charges twice at the player, dealing 50% ATK and 62.5% ATK as Pyro DMG, 50% ATK as Cryo DMG and leaving the floor burnt or frosted for a short period of time in his wake. The affected floor deals 25% ATK as Pyro DMG or Cryo DMG every second. A small Energy Block will spawn after this attack.
Thunder Sphere
If the player is behind Shouki no Kami, turns around and conjures 5 thunder spheres that are then shot at the player, each dealing 50% ATK as Electro DMG on hit.
Eruption Trails
Marks a cross-shaped area on the floor and sets off a trail of Hydro explosions and a trail of Anemo explosions, dealing 75% ATK as Hydro DMG or Anemo DMG. A small Energy Block will spawn after this attack.
Setsuna Shoumetsu
Description
When his shield is depleted, Shouki no Kami deploys 4 Nirvana Engines at the center of the arena. Nirvana Engines will attack the player while Shouki no Kami charges his attack. The center Nirvana Engine fires volleys of bullets that each deal 25% ATK as Electro DMG, while the 3 airborne Nirvana Engines periodically fire beams at the player that deal 37.5% ATK as Electro DMG.
  • When Setsuna Shoumetsu begins charging, the charging progress of Neo Akasha Terminals will be reset to 0%.
  • Nirvana Engines are weakest to Cryo, Dendro, and Pyro.
  • When destroyed, a Nirvana Engine will spawn a small Energy Block which will charge the Neo Akasha Terminal.
  • When the Neo Akasha Terminal is fully charged, the player can use its aimed attack on Shouki no Kami to paralyze him for 30 seconds.
  • While paralyzed, Shouki no Kami's chest becomes vulnerable. Shouki no Kami's RES against attacks that hit the chest will be decreased by 170%. However, attacks that do not hit the chest will not receive this RES decrease.
  • After Shouki no Kami is paralyzed, all party members will gain full Energy.
  • If the player fails to paralyze Shouki no Kami within 40 seconds, Setsuna Shoumetsu will land and instantly kill the active character. This ignores any defensive stats as well as shields. In Co-Op Mode, only one player will be killed, while the rest will be dealt 100% ATK as Electro DMG.
  • Before the landing of Setsuna Shoumetsu, all party members will have their Energy fully drained, and the active character will be frozen in place.
  • It is possible to dodge Setsuna Shoumetsu using the i-frames provided by the hold version of Mona's Mirror Reflection of Doom.
    • To achieve this, the player must use an Elemental Burst around 4 seconds after the chains visual effect around the character appears to bypass the freezing effect. This will allow the player to hold Mona's Elemental Skill and i-frame Setsuna Shoumetsu with precise timing when it lands.

Strategy
Bring a ranged Cryo/Dendro/Pyro character to easily destroy the airborne Nirvana Engines. Note that the hold version of Nahida's All Schemes to Know cannot lock onto Nirvana Engines.

AI Logic[]

  • An ability will only be used if all of the following conditions have been met:
    • The ability is not on cooldown
    • The target is within the range required by the ability
    • The ability has the highest priority out of all that meet the previous 2 conditions
      • A lower priority number indicates a higher priority.
      • If multiple abilities share the highest priority, one will be chosen at random.
  • Certain abilities with extra trigger conditions may defy regular ability logic.

Boss Description[]

Shouki no Kami, as an artificial divinity created using all the might of Sumeru's Six Darshans, has power that rivals that of true gods.
But those of this world who call such a being a "false deity" misunderstand the true meaning of the word.
Shouki no Kami now understands countless things and shoulders unassailable might, and may be said to surpass mortals.
If gods must love mortals,
Then Shouki no Kami, who grants failure in equal measure to humanity, loves them also.
If gods must watch over humanity,

Etymology[]

  • Joururi is a form of traditional Japanese narrative music, often used to accompany bunraku, traditional Japanese puppet theater.
  • The ki in shouki (Japanese: 正機) is short for kikon (Japanese: 機根 kikon, also known as 根機 konki), which is the ability to understand and practice Buddhist teachings.
  • In English and many other localizations, Shouki no Kami's title has an additional name attached, "the Prodigal." It is a reference to the Parable of the Prodigal Son, one of the parables of Jesus Christ in the Bible, appearing in Luke 15:11–32.
    • Three figures in the parable: the father, the older son, and the prodigal son bear a resemblance to the Electro Archon Beelzebul and her two "children": The Shogun and Scaramouche.
      • The older son seems to work based on law, merit, and rewards. He opposed the father due to his treatment of the returned son and lamented about how he always worked under his father's orders. This is paralleled by the puppet Shogun, who governed Inazuma based on the guidance of Eternity that Ei proclaimed, and opposed her during the events of Transient Dreams due to Ei's renewed idea of Eternity.
      • The prodigal son is paralleled by Scaramouche, who left Inazuma and experienced his own suffering at the hands of Dottore, and later, Nahida and the Traveler when they defeated him.
  • The term 十惑 (Chinese: 十惑 shíhuò; Japanese: 十惑 juuwaku; Korean: 십혹 sipok) in Phase 2 Voice-Overs means the 10 agonies in Buddhism. The five agonies of greed, anger, stupidity, arrogance, and doubt are added to the five wrong views of identity view, extreme view, evil view, view of obsessing over evil views, and view of rigid attachment to the precepts to form it.

  1. 1.0 1.1 Chinese and Japanese: (Chinese: 七葉 Qīyè; Japanese: 七葉 Shichiyou) is an alias of sal tree in Buddhist mythology. It is believed that the Buddha himself spent three months living under the Sattapanni tree in seclusion before his death. One of Scaramouche's voiceline during the boss battle (Phase 2 - Fight Start II) is also a reference to this: "七葉之下,唯我長存! Under the Sattapanni, only me lives forever!"
    寂照 Jìzhào; Jakushou means to discern the true form of all things with correct wisdom, in other words, "omniscience."
    (Chinese: 秘密主 Mìmì-zhǔ; Japanese: 秘密主 Himitsu-shu) is an alias of 普賢菩薩 (Sanskrit: Samantabhadra), a bodhisattva that saves people with wisdom and mercy.
  2. Japanese: "Shouki" most likely refers to the True Pure Land Buddhism belief of akunin-shouki (Japanese: 悪人正機). According to this belief, sinners are the proper objects of salvation based on Amitābha's Primal Vow. Thus, the title "Shouki no Kami" refers to the fact that he is a god who is a proper object of salvation. However, it should be noted that Shouki (正気) more literally means Sanity, and comes from Shou 正 - Correct or Just and Ki 気 - Mind, Spirit, and Air, which definitely colors some of the scenes leading up to the boss reveal.
