Etymology[]
- 坏劫/壞劫
Huàijié/壊劫 Ekou refers to the third kalpa of destruction, the third aeon of the universe in Buddhist and Hindu cosmology. - A kalpa refers to immense period of time in Hindu and Buddhist cosmology, generally between the creation and recreation of a world or universe.
- 三界 Sānjiè/三界 Sangai refers to the Trailokya, the three worlds. In Buddhist cosmology, they refer to destinations for karmic rebirth.
