A monster formed from a vine that was imbued with the essence of biting frost within the Ley Lines.
Some studies hold that plants are like organs of the world, harmonizing the turbulent elemental energies of the Ley Lines. Concrete examples of this phenomena are Mist Flowers, Whopperflowers and the like, which brim over with elemental energy.
In certain circumstances, certain plants will turn into creatures of monstrous size and intent — such as the Cryo Regisvines — over the course of many years.

Abilities and Attacks
Upon either attacking it from range or after entering its arena, the Cryo Regisvine will unfurl from its resting position and stand outright.
In this phase, it can attack you with the following attacks:
Ice Beams: Flings two ice beams into an overlapping cross pattern. Dodge this attack by dashing to the side.
- This is indicated by its two lashes starting to glow brightly.
Homing Icicles: These icicles will follow your character for a few seconds before losing their homing attribute; dash in a circle pattern to easily avoid the icicles. Even if hit, these do not deal a huge amount of damage, so don't worry about tanking them once in a while.
- This is indicated when the Regisvine raises its lashers less high and without a glowing effect.
Body Slam: The Regisvine slams itself into the ground three times.
- Indicates by raising its body upwards and a glow travelling up its stem. It is most easily dodged prematurely; if you notice its attack pattern starting, then move to either side of it.
Two Flails and Smash: The Regisvine slashes itself into the ground and attacks with its vines.
- Just watch it flail about on the ground. You know when to time your dodge after the flails have been used.
In this first phase, either its Eye or its Base Gem are glowing and covered in a shield. Upon breaking, the fight will be moved to the first transition phase and afterward cycle back and forth with the ranged and melee phases.
Upon breaking its shield, the Cryo Regisvine will curl itself up and lay on the ground unmoving. During this time, you have time to unleash hell on it with either melee or ranged characters by hitting its head numerous times. However, be careful as the Cryo that is left on the ground after the Outer Ring Phase will remain there and will burn through melee characters Health quite quickly. This phase lasts about 10 to 15 seconds.
After recovering, it will raise itself up and continue to flail around its body, dealing a huge amount of damage and knocking away any character in melee range. This does not knock away summons such as Amber's bomb, so you can use this time to deal additional damage if desired.
After its flail, the Regisvine will then return to its normal combat patterns. Depending on what shield has last been broken, it will transition into the Outer or Inner Ring phases.
Inner Ring Phase
This phase is started if the last weak spot has been the gem on its base. Upon start, Cryo Regisvine will start to channel Cryo particles and blast it outwards, covering the outer ring of the arena in Cryo and dealing damage to the player should they not dodge. Standing on the Cryo on the outer side of the arena will quickly deplete your health pool.
In this Phase, the Regisvine will attack you in the following ways:
Flail: This is being cast when a character stands too close to the Regisvine's body and will knock characters back into the Cryo floor. This is deadly if you get hit by it.
- Don't stand too close.
Rotary Spray: The Cryo Regisvine will lean its head forward at the player, with its buds (arms) spread, and, after locking onto the players location, will fire a beam of Cryo from its corolla for a few seconds, dealing massive Cryo DMG to any players caught in the beam. After firing the beam at the spot it locked onto, the Regisvine will proceed to slowly turn around 360 degrees, damaging any player caught in the beam.
- Simply approach its base and remain close for the duration of the move.
- An achievement, Knockout, can be earned by stunning the Cryo Regisvine by destroying the shield on its corolla.
Body Slam: The Regisvine will channel for a moment before smashing its body onto the last position of the player, three times. Afterwards, it will remain still for a moment.
- Dodge to the left or right before each smash and you will be fine.
- A singular, more powerful smash; This one is nearly identical to the three-smash combo, but it is easier to anticipate the former rather than this one.
Outer Ring Phase
This phase is started if the last weak spot has been the gem in its stem. The Cryo Regisvine will start the phase with the aforementioned "Body Slam" and follow it up either with two ice beams or with a barrage of up to 6 Icicle Salves. The shield is breakable again.
After that it will start a very quick channel, slamming into the ground surrounding it and filling the ground around its body with Cryo, creating the Outer Ring that the player can move around on without being damaged. In this phase, the Regisvine is able to use the following attacks:
Ice Beams: The Regisvine creates two ice beams that hone in on the player.
- This is indicated by its two lashes starting to glow brightly. Dodging is key.
Homing Icicles: The Regisvine creates icicles that will follow your character for a few seconds before losing their homing attribute; dashing allows you to avoid the icicles. Even if hit, these do not deal a huge amount of damage, so don't worry about tanking them once in a while.
- This is indicated by raising its lashers less high and without a glowing effect
Body Slam: Quite easy to dodge, but has to be dodged before it is cast.
- Indicates by raising its body upwards.
Blizzard: This one is the most damaging and most dodge intensive ability in the fight. It is cast after covering the ground around it with Cryo if you neglect to break the corolla, which will cause the Regisvine to channel its Cryo powers and start to let ice rain from the air, aiming at where the player is currently standing and also aiming slightly ahead of where the player is currently moving. Some of these ice bolts also leave behind a patch of Cryo, so dodging in a circle is not recommended. Instead, keep dodging sideways and round the Regisvine.
The trick here is to break Regisvine's body gem shield before it is able to cast the ability. While it is covering the ground around itself with Cryo and channelling Blizzard, the gem in its chest is exposed and vulnerable. A few shots from Amber or other Pyro characters are able to simply burst through the shield, skipping the mechanic and making the fight a whole lot easier to do. Alternatively, Electro characters work just as well, as they break the shield just as well, albeit slightly slower.
If you failed to prevent Blizzard, do not try to damage it. Because there is a hailstorm around you, it is better to simply ignore the gem for the time being and concentrate on dodging, unless you already have the shield low. Alternatively, if you have characters who can Shield, then it is better to focus on breaking the Cryo Regisvines' shield.
Healers are great here, although you may not need them, depending on how levelled your characters are. Barbara (and to a lesser extent, Xingqiu) hit a brick wall against this boss, as applying Wet to yourself is very, very dangerous in the face of the many Cryo attacks the Regisvine will spam at you. If you need a healer, try Qiqi, Jean or Bennett. It is recommended you alter your lineup to fit your playstyle more than anything, but if you are confident enough in your skills, it is just as fine to neglect bringing a healer.
Transitioning into the Outer Ring Phase
This part is quite easily the hardest part of the fight as you will be hit quite easily if not paying attention. By running slightly sideways, you will have the chance to dodge through the beam against the direction it is moving, before swiftly following after it and sitting in between the Regisvine and the already Cryo ground.
After the transition, you have a good opportunity to get one to two hits in, depending on how skilled you are with the bow. As the head will always be vulnerable, you can immediately shoot it after it is done beaming the arena into a donut, quite possibly immediately transitioning back into the damaging phase of the fight.
