Contending Tides is an event in Version 1.4.

Everyone born in this corner of the world has dreamed about becoming the strongest in Teyvat. Dadaupa Gorge's Meaty Arena is currently summoning all contenders willing to fight for that title.

Event Details

During this event, Travelers can participate in challenges at Dadaupa Gorge's Meaty Arena and earn Primogems and other rewards by completing challenges at various difficulties.

After completing Mountainous Summons, it can be found under icon.

Summary

• Starting from the first day of this event, a new challenge with three difficulty levels will unlock every day. Travelers can select the difficulty at which to attempt a challenge. Completing a challenge at a higher difficulty will also automatically clear any lower difficulties.
• Each challenge has up to three completion criteria. All criteria must be fulfilled to complete the challenge.
• Each challenge will enhance certain abilities. Pay attention to the bonus effects and use them to maximize your advantage.
• Changing your World Level will not affect the difficulty of event challenges. (It is determined by your Adventure Rank).
• This challenge cannot be played in Co-Op Mode.

Welcome To Easy Mode Unlocks on 2021-04-02	Time limits, the status of your teammates, tough enemies, all manner of challenges and goals... Such things aren't good for your health, you know? While fighting within an Aura, your characters' ATK is greatly increased. Additionally, when characters with full stamina hit opponents while standing within auras, they will unleash intense shockwaves! There will be an Aura within the arena. Characters within the Aura will obtain the following effects: ATK is increased by 100%. When attacks hit opponents, a shockwave will be released if your Stamina is above 50%, dealing AoE DMG. Don't Sweat It Unlocks on 2021-04-03	The proportion of conductive substances within the sweat from your battle-worn brow is less than one percent! The DMG dealt by Electro-Charged reactions is greatly increased. Additionally, characters will unleash intense shockwaves when they trigger Electro-Charged reactions! Electro-Charged reaction DMG dealt to opponents is increased by 150%. When characters trigger Electro-Charged reactions on opponents, a shockwave will be unleashed, dealing AoE DMG. Art of the Cannonball Unlocks on 2021-04-04	During this challenge, Plunging Attacks will transfer the impact your body absorbs to the entire ring. Release powerful shockwaves in this manner and increase the damage of your next Plunging Attack — this is known in some circles as the "Art of the Cannonball"! Plunging Attacks cause shockwaves, dealing DMG to all opponents in the arena. After executing a Plunging Attack, the next Plunging Attack by one of your own party members and the DMG from the shockwave generated by that Plunging Attack will deal 50% more DMG. Battle of an Epoch Unlocks on 2021-04-05	Mighty ancient warriors shall do battle with the rising star known as the Traveler! Normal and Charged Attacks that hit Frozen opponents will release powerful shockwaves! Is that what they call a clash of the titans? When Normal and Charged Attacks hit a Frozen opponent, there is a 50% chance of releasing a shockwave that deals AoE DMG. Can occur once every second.	Ruin Guard
To the Bitter End Unlocks on 2021-04-06	Sometimes you've got to tough it out a bit to become the strongest there is! The lower your character's HP is, the greater their ATK bonus. Produces different effects depending on the active character's HP: Below 70%: character ATK +50% Below 50%: Normal and Charged Attack SPD +25% Below 30%: On hit, Normal Attacks will release a shockwave that deals AoE DMG The above effects can be active at the same time. Shock Me, I Dare You! Unlocks on 2021-04-07	"I don't mean to be rude..." Normal and Charged ATK SPD is increased, and the Stamina cost of Charged Attacks is decreased. Defeat opponents with Charged Attacks to obtain stacks of a buff that increases the DMG dealt by Charged Attacks. When this buff reaches the maximum number of stacks, Charged Attacks that defeat enemies will unleash powerful shockwaves. Normal and Charged Attack ATK SPD is increased by 25%. Charged Attack Stamina consumption decreased by 50%. Defeating an opponent with a Charged Attack increases DMG dealt by Charged Attacks for your own party members by 50%, max 8 stacks. Want to Know How I Got These Icicles? Unlocks on 2021-04-08	Frostarm Lawachurls, training? That's not fair to the weak! Stay within the Aura in the ring until you have fully absorbed its power, after which your ATK will be greatly increased, while hits with Normal and Charged Attacks will unleash intense shockwaves! There will be an Aura within the arena. If any of your own party members spends over 5s in the Aura, the Aura will be consumed and all your own party members will have their ATK increased by 100% for the next 10s, and their Normal and Charged Attacks release a shockwave on hit that deals AoE DMG. Shockwaves can be triggered up to once every 15s in this way. A new Aura will appear 10s after the previous Aura has been consumed and your party members have gained the aforementioned effects. Battle Pass Missions

This event added additional "This BP Period" Battle Pass missions to the Windborne Blossoms Battle Pass. The Battle Pass EXP (BP EXP) obtained from these missions do not count towards the weekly experience limit of 10,000 BP EXP.
