Bloom is the Elemental Reaction triggered by inflicting Dendro on a target that is already affected by Hydro or vice versa.
This reaction produces a Dendro Core, which stays on the field for up to 6 seconds, and has different effects based on if Pyro, Electro or neither is applied to it before its duration expires. Only 5 Dendro Cores can exist at a time, and producing more than 5 Dendro Cores will cause the oldest one to expire immediately.
Dendro Core[]
If a Dendro Core's duration expires, it will explode, dealing AoE Dendro DMG in a 5m radius to both enemies and players.
If Pyro is inflicted upon a Dendro Core, the Burgeon reaction will be triggered, which consumes the Dendro Core, and deals increased AoE Dendro DMG in a 5m radius to both enemies and players.
If Electro is inflicted upon a Dendro Core, the Hyperbloom reaction will be triggered, which transforms the Dendro Core into a Sprawling Shot that homes in on the closest enemy (or ally, if triggered by an enemy/the environment), dealing increased AoE Dendro DMG in a 1m radius on hit to both enemies and players.
DMG dealt to players by all Bloom-related reactions are 5% of the DMG dealt to enemies, no matter which party triggers the reaction.
Burgeon and Hyperbloom can both be triggered by a party other than the one which triggered the original Bloom, including the environment, and their damage scale with the stats of the party responsible for applying Pyro or Electro.
Bountiful Core[]
Certain character abilities and event buffs will cause the Bloom reaction to produce Bountiful Cores instead of Dendro Cores. Bountiful Cores explode 0.4 seconds after their creation, dealing AoE Dendro DMG in a 6.5m radius to both enemies and players. DMG dealt to players is 5% of the DMG dealt to enemies.
Burgeon and Hyperbloom cannot be triggered on Bountiful Cores. Bountiful Cores share the upper limit of 5 with regular Dendro Cores.
Talents[]
There are 2 Talents that match the category selection:
Talent | Description | Type |
---|---|---|
Court of Dancing Petals Court of Dancing Petals Nilou | When all characters in the party are all Dendro or Hydro, and there are at least one Dendro character and one Hydro character: The completion of the third dance step of Nilou's Dance of Haftkarsvar will grant all nearby characters the Golden Chalice's Bounty for 30s. Characters under the effect of Golden Chalice's Bounty will increase the Elemental Mastery of all nearby characters by 100 for 10s whenever they are hit by Dendro attacks. Also, triggering the Bloom reaction will create Bountiful Cores instead of Dendro Cores. Such Cores will burst very quickly after being created, and they have larger AoEs. Bountiful Cores cannot trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon, and they share an upper numerical limit with Dendro Cores. Bountiful Core DMG is considered DMG dealt by Dendro Cores produced by Bloom. Should the party not meet the conditions for this Passive Talent, any existing Golden Chalice's Bounty effects will be canceled. | 1st Ascension Passive |
Dreamy Dance of Aeons Dreamy Dance of Aeons Nilou | Every 1,000 points of Nilou's Max HP above 30,000 will cause the DMG dealt by Bountiful Cores created by characters affected by Golden Chalice's Bounty to increase by 9%. The maximum increase in Bountiful Core DMG that can be achieved this way is 400%. | 4th Ascension Passive |
Damage[]
Note that one target can only take 2 instances of DMG from each Bloom-related reaction per source every 0.5 seconds, as limited by the Damage Sequence. Reactions triggered by a given character will not share this limit with reactions triggered by other characters. Note that Dendro Core explosions and Bountiful Core explosions are counted separately.
Bloom[]
Bloom DMG is calculated as . Level Multipliers for every level can be found in Elemental Reaction/Level Scaling#Level Multiplier.
Bloom DMG is only affected by the level and Elemental Mastery of the character causing the reaction, and the target's Dendro RES. It ignores the target's DEF and cannot deal Critical Hits. The Elemental Mastery DMG Bonus and the target's Resistance multiplier are applied multiplicatively with the Base DMG.

Tutorial[]
- Elemental Reaction: Bloom
When creatures are affected by Hydro and Dendro, the Bloom reaction will be triggered, creating Dendro Cores.
Only a certain number of Dendro Cores can exist at the same time. If new ones are created once this limit is reached, or if the duration of the existing Dendro Cores ends, the pre-existing Dendro Cores will explode, dealing AoE Dendro DMG...
When Dendro Cores come into contact with Pyro, they will trigger Burgeon, causing even greater AoE Dendro DMG. When Dendro Cores come into contact with Electro, they will trigger Hyperbloom and transform into homing Sprawling Shots.
