While the shield is active, the Black Serpent Knight will continuously adjust its position to protect its ally. The shield lasts indefinitely until the player manages to get behind it.

Under this state, it will gain high Interruption Resistance, 50% all RES, and 20% ATK.

A guard of some standing in the court, sundering the foes of the nation's rulers using a sword art known as "Truthseeker."
Though Truthseeker is, strictly speaking, a sword art, its teachings can also be used with various other weapons — and in the realm's darkest hour, those who had to protect their homeland had little room to be fussy anyway.

- Currently, the Black Serpent Knight: Rockbreaker Ax cannot be encountered in the overworld outside of quest-exclusive encounters. Outside of this, it can only be encountered in Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater, and certain limited-time events.
- Irizar is the only Black Serpent Knight: Rockbreaker Ax so far to appear in the overworld during World Quest Peace to the Slumbering, when he and his comrade Zephaniah, a Black Serpent Knight: Windcutter, are unsealed by the Traveler and fight with them.[1]
