The other Knights paid me a visit and took all of my work upon themselves. They ignored my protests, saying that I deserve to relax today. I appreciate their kindness, but... I do not see the need to celebrate my birthday. As a child, I always spent my birthday with my mother. To bystanders, it must have seemed most unusual. We would do away with the usual entertainment and birthday cake, opting for a simple trip to Windrise. I do not mean to complain, I have grown used to that tradition. This is why I am not accustomed to the notion of having a birthday banquet. Forgoing all fun may disappoint the others, but a grand ceremony also seems out of place. Birthdays require much deliberation indeed... I would like to discuss this issue with you face to face and listen to your suggestions. You have seen a lot during your travels, so perhaps you can recommend a fitting celebration method, or... Perhaps our meeting can be the celebration. | |

Early this morning, I was chased out of my office by my fellow Knights. They told me I could go wherever I wanted, as long as it didn't involve work. Although I do understand they mean well, it seemed a bit excessive to instruct the knight guarding the door to my office to prevent me from entering, right in front of me. So, I went to Windrise, then went up the road to Starsnatch Cliff. It's been a long time since I've been out patrolling in person. I've found some potential hazards on the outskirts of Mondstadt, and I'll need to gather a group to develop further plans. I enclosed some flowers picked along the way and materials collected after defeating monsters. I hope they'll help you on your journey. ...Now that I think about it, it has actually been a rather productive day. | |

It has been quite some time since our last meeting. How have you been? Upon finishing work, I received an unexpected invitation — the headquarters' kitchen replaced the old stove and kitchen utensils, and installed an assistant device developed by the Investigation Team. Thus, I was invited to test the outcome of the renovation. Though such tasks fall into the logistics division's scope of responsibility, considering that "good food is one of the pillars of morale," it is my duty, too, to take a good look at the cooking facilities. I did not expect that it was a surprise birthday party for me yet again. Before I came in, the knights were all there waiting for me. I received many presents and good wishes from them. To express how impressed and touched I was, I made an extra-large pizza with the new stove, and shared it with everyone. I want to express my gratitude for your contribution and assistance as well, and to share this happiness with you. Should you be available in the future, you are always welcome in the Knights of Favonius. | |

Time flies as ever, and in the blink of an eye, my birthday's here once again. Last night, I received a letter and a gift from my mother. During the course of the expedition, she's managed to get her hands on a fine sword, light and easy to swing. She said that she hoped it would help me vanquish monsters more easily. After reading the letter, I couldn't help but reflect on how things have changed recently, staring through the window at the quiet scenery outside as though lost in a trance. In actual fact, the number of monsters around Mondstadt has greatly decreased during the time my mother has been away. The Knights of Favonius who stayed behind have matured and blossomed, meaning that the immense pressure I faced is gradually lessening too. Of course, much of this is thanks to you. If you're free today, why not come by the Knights of Favonius? I'll be making a special pizza today, with what I like to think is the ideal balance of toppings. Neither too heavy, nor too light — perfect for a catch-up. | |

A long time ago, Mother wrote to me that the Knights of Favonius' expedition had made significant progress. Based on new clues they had gathered, the Grand Master decided to head to Nod-Krai for further investigation, while Mother and several other knights were ordered to return to Dornman Port for defense. Dornman Port isn't too far from Mondstadt, but with both Mother and I busy with our duties, we haven't had a chance to meet. I thought this routine would continue, but yesterday evening, Mother and Barbara suddenly appeared at the Knights of Favonius headquarters. Mother's figure in the wind was as strong and graceful as ever. Seeing her smile again after so long, I almost forgot to return her knightly salute. I'll be spending this rare day with my family. I've baked some snacks, so if you have time, please come by for a visit. | |
