Aroni is a historical character that appears in The Surprise That Awaits Us All! in Story Quest Sunspray Summer Resort: Part III.
Profile[]
Aroni hailed from the Masters of the Night-Wind. She was the mother of Bennett, the wife of Macani, and a member of Tecpatl's Flintblades Adventure Team. She was a curious person with a penchant of writing journals and taking pictures. Some of her records survived until the present day.
Aroni first encountered Macani when the latter was making a speech to convince people to join him in forming an adventure team. Impressed by his courage, Aroni decided to come with him. Later on, alongside Anja and Chaco, they formed Tecpatl's Flintblades. For some time, they adventured from place to place, gathering many experiences and memories. Eventually, Macani and Aroni grew closer and bore a child, and they decided to retire and raise him.
However, before the group truly disbanded, Anja suggested they go on one last journey, and thus the Tecpatl's Flintblades journeyed to Tenochtzitoc. One day, their camp was attacked by the Abyss. Despite their best efforts to fend the Abyss, all of them perished, save for their child who Aroni protected. Macani, Anja, and Chaco then joined Aroni's prayer to protect the child and keep him alive, sacrificing their form and memories. As a result, Aroni lost all of her memories and transformed into an Asha.
During the events of Sunspray Summer Resort, Aroni, who was much less outgoing than her husband, quietly followed Bennett's group around as they enjoyed the resort, instinctively drawn to her son despite not remembering him. She and Macani came to save and protect Bennett when the latter passed out within the Mare Jivari. After Venti's divine intervention, Aroni was able to recover her memories and assumed her appearance from when she was alive. She joined the grand opening for Easybreeze Holiday Resort and afterwards was able to spend some time with her husband and son. Eventually when dawn broke, her time as spirit came to and end, and satisfied by encountering and seeing Bennett growing up well, Aroni was able to move on peacefully.

Aroni is an adult woman with fair skin and purple eyes. She has lilac hair worn in a bun and on top is a purple headband with a feather. She wears the standard dress for women from the Masters of the Night-Wind. As an Asha, she is pink and wears her purple scarf and headband from when she was alive.

- Osanyin, also known as Aroni, is the most powerful deity of herbs in Yoruba religion with dominion over all those who deal with plants and magic. Represented as a one eyed, one-handed, and one-legged figure, he is the Orisha of herbs, plants, magic, potions, charms and healing.
