Lmao I did this at like midnight idk why😭
I drew alre !!1!1!1 okay i take my leave now
The Masked Officer enters his office and his radio buzzes and he picks up
Triangle Guard (Yelan): Sir, reporting from surgery room.
Masked Officer (Ayato): How did we do?
Triangle Guard (Yelan): Well, sir, most were shot in the head or chest and died immediately. The ones without fatal wounds were shot again to confirm the kill. So there's not much usable merchandise.
Masked Officer (Ayato): Who fired the shots?
Triangle Guard (Yelan): I think it was Number 11.
Ayato hangs up the radio. He then tells Yunjin to find Chiori to tell her to meet him in his office.
Yunjin enters Chiori's room
Square Guard (Yunjin): Number 11.
Chiori wakes up
Square Guard (Yunjin): The officer wants to see you.
Chiori leaves her bed and Yunjin leads her to the management area to meet Ayato
Chiori approaches Ayato
Triangle Guard (Chiori): You wanted to see me, sir?
Masked Officer (Ayato): Take your mask off.
Chiori takes her mask off
Masked Officer (Ayato): I told you not to interfere if you weren't going to assist us. I heard you shot the players who were still breathing so you could confirm the kill.
Chiori: I did the task that was given to me.
Masked Officer (Ayato): How long has it been.....since we met each other?
Chiori: I can't recall at this point.
Masked Officer (Ayato): If memory serves.....it was right around seven years ago. The very first time I went to see you, you were lying in your bed in that dustly old hospital, just staring up at the ceiling like a zombie.
Masked Officer (Ayato): I couldn't believe you killed the team pushing you with one rifle and got past the fences at the Demarcation Line without any kind of help at all.
Masked Officer (Ayato): I saw you in that berld and felt sorry for you. So I decided to give you another chance to start over.
Chiori: And I'll always be grateful for your help, sir.
Masked Officer (Ayato): Then you should do what you're told.
Chiori: Sir, I don't think I will.
Masked Officer (Ayato): You worried the boss is going to find out? That shouldn't concern you. Last time we had a player do the surgeries in exchange for information about the games they were going to play. This time, we actualy brought a doctor here ourselves. There's no way anyone will find out about it, and even if they do....
Chiori: That's not my issue.
Masked Officer (Ayato): Then what is it?! Huh?!
Ayato sighs
Masked Officer (Ayato): When you met me, you said..........you wanted to find the kid you left behind. And If I can make that happen you'd do anything. Has something changed?
Chiori: Back when you first tolf me what I'd have to do in here, they way you said it was. I'd be helping people with no hope end their misery so they wouldn't have to suffer anymore. And I believed you. That's the reason I came here. You've changed, sir, not me.
Masked Officer (Ayato): Either way they'll end up dead. All we're doing is using their organs to help save others. What's wrong with that?
Chiori: If there's nothing else for me I would like to be dismissed.
Masked Officer (Ayato): Not yet.
Chiori stays silent
Masked Officer (Ayato): You told me you had a damaged kidney. So we went out way quickly to get a new one from you, we took a kidney from a dead player who was killed 4 years ago in the games.
Chiori: ....
Masked Officer (Ayato): And you know who that person was?
Chiori: No, who is she?
Masked Officed (Ayato): She was my sister. She was killed in this place 4 years ago in the games, and they operated on her and took out her kidney to donate it to the Inazuma Blood Bank. And you know where her kidney went? It's in you.
Chiori: How did you know that?
Masked Officer (Ayato): I checked your medical records, and that kidney that was transplanted int you, was the one that was removes from my sister's dead body. That's how I know it.
Masked Officer (Ayato): So, I don't see a reason why helping out is a bad idea.
Chiori exits the office
At th venue of the second game which is Dalgona, all the players lines up on the triangle line to choose the triangle shape dalgona
Neuvillette: The triangle's the easiest, right?
Hu Tao: Yeah.
The door opens in front of them and the circle guard gives a dalgona case to Hu Tao
Hu Tao opens the case and reveals a nightmarish triangle shape
Hu Tao gasps and breathes heavily
Furina: Wait wait wait, what? What the hell kinda shape is that? Even an archon couldn't get that out!
Neuvillette: Really? This one's the easiest to get out?
Lynette: Oh, god what is this? What's going on? Everybody's gonna die because you said "Pick triangle"!
Hu Tao: I didn't...
Kaveh: You told everyone to go here. How are you gonna make it right? What are you gonna do to fix this?
Hu Tao: This isn't...
Xilonen: You said you already played this before!
Hu Tao: I don't....
Alhaitham: How are you gonna fix this?
Arlecchino: You're gonna kill us all! This is your fault! It's your fault!
Hu Tao wakes up and realizes it was a nightmare
Hu Tao gasps and pants
Furina: Hu Tao, you alright? You look like you had a nightmare.
Hu Tao: I'm fine.
Furina: Are you sure? You were shaking a lot.
Hu Tao: It's just I had a nightmare about where we were playing dalgons which was the second game I played 4 years ago in this place.
Furina: Then what did you see?
Hu Tao: I saw everyone picking triangle, and yhe moment I opened the case, the triangle was very difficult to piece out and everyone started yellimg at me.
Furina: Wow, well, hope you're ok now.
Hu Tao: I'm fine, I'm fine.
Announcer: Your attention, please. The second game will begin momentarily. Please follow the staff's instructions and swiftly make your way towards the game hall.
The players follows the guards to the game hall and they enter the game venue, and Hu Tao realizes the place is different and it gives her a hint that it won't be dalgona
Announcer: This game will be played in teams. Please take the next ten minutes to divide into groups of five. I will now repeat the instructions. This game will be player in teams. You will be given ten minutes to divide into teams of five.
Furina: Dalgona is not a team game though right?
Player 100: It is still Dalgona, isn't it?
Hu Tao: No, it can't be. The game must have changed after 4 years.
Player 100: If not Dalgona, then what?
Hu Tao: I don't know what we're playing.
Player 100: What? You said you'd done this before. Or were you lying?
Hu Tao: Yes, it's just that the games were different back then. I'm not lying.
Player 100: Then? How are you gonna make it right?
Neuvillette steps up
Neuvillette: That's enough.
Announcer: Please divide into teams starting now.
Timer starts
The players starts dividing into teams of 5
Citlali: It's not Dalgona, is that what she said!
Ororon: Yeah, it seems so.
Citlali: So what do we do now?
Ororon: Let's just find 3 other people who would join us.
Citlali: Ok.
Hu Tao: I'm really sorry.
Neuvillette: For what it's worth, I still trust you. If it'd be alright with you, I'f like for us to be teammates.
Furina: Yeah, I don't know what we're doing, but we should still buckle up and try. These games are for kids anyways. He and I used to play tons growing up.
Xilonen: And I feel the same way. I'll play with you 3. If we work together then nothing can stand in our way.
Furina: Yeah, well said panther lady. It would've been embarrassing anyways. Imagine Mictlanians having to play Dalgona. Then this game is worth a risk, something like Buck Buck or Squid Game. Don't you think?
Xilonen: Yeah.
Neuvillette: Alright, now all we need is one person.
Xilonen: I'll go find us a fifth person.
Furina: Yeah, go for it.
Xilonen walks off to find a fifth member
Mualani walks around to find a team and Xilonen approaches her
Xilonen: Hey, Mualani.
Mualani: Hey, Xilonen, what's up?
Xilonen: We need a fifth member, wanna join?
Mualani: You have a team already?
Xilonen: Yeah, come join us. All we need is one more person.
Mualani: Ok.
Xilonen: Alright, come.
Mualani follows Xilonen
Lyney: Father, this girl wants to join us.
Arlecchino: Really?
Lynette: Yeah, now we have 5 members
Arlecchino: Great, we are prepared.
After everyone divided into teams of 5 they sat down and wait for instructions
Announcer: The team selection period is now over. The game you will participate in today is a Six-Legged Pentathlon. Team members will start with their legs tied together. At each ten-meter interval on the track, one member of the team will play a mini-game. If that player wins, the team can move on to the next challenge. The mini-games are as follows: Game one, Ddakji. Game two, Flying Stone. Game three, Gong-gi. Game four, Spinning Top. And finally, game give, Jegi. You will have five minutes. To win, you must complete all mini-games and cross thr finish line before the time runs out. Now pelase decide which player will be assigned to each mini-game.
Ororon: What are you thinking?
Citlali: I'll do Gong-gi.
Ororon: Ok.
Furina: It's good we have girls in our team after all.
Furina turns to Mualani
Furina: You play Gong-hi, right?
Mualani: No.
Furina: I don't get it. Do we not play Gong-gi anymore?
Mualani: Not once, because it's not a game of Natlan.
Xilonen: I'll be the one to do Gong-gi.
Furina: You sure?
Xilonen: Yeah, I always play that game when I was a kid.
Hu Tao: For the rest of them, we should each choose the one we think we're the best at.
Mualani: Ddakji for me. Even against the lady in a suit, I still won way more than she did.
Furina: Ok great, so Player 251 takes Ddakji and I'll play Flying Stone.
Hu Tao: You sure?
Furina: Yeah, I'm very good at throwing.
Hu Tao: That means just Jegi and Spinning Top are left. Which of those works for you?
Neuvillette: I don't know, but....I'll do whichever one you think, Hu Tao.
Hu Tao: How did you know my name?
Neuvillette: I overheard them calling you that, so I thought I tried it out too. Does it bother you?
Hu Tao: Uh, no it doesn't bother me.
Neuvillette: So then, Hu Tao, what are you good at?
Hu Tao: I don't know, but, I guess Jegi the best one.
Neuvillette: Hmm. That's fine. I'll do Spinning Top.
Hu Tao: Great.
Furina: Hands in everyone. You ready? We can do this.
Furina, Hu Tao, Neuvillette, Xilonen and Mualani places their hands together in the middle
Furina: Count of 3 everyone say "Victory." 1..2..3...
All: Victory!
Announcer: Team 1 and Team 2, get ready to play.

One, two! One, two!
Player 44: Grab it!
Team 1 falls down and groaning
Team 1 clamoring
Neuvillette: Flying Stone's hard. You miss one, and it'll be difficult to recover.
Player 45 hits the stone
Team 2 cheering
Announcer: Success.
Team 2: One, two! One, two! One, two! One, two! One, two!
Announcer: Welcome to Gong-gi. You must toss and grab esch stone cosecutively, and then catch all five at once.
Player 79: Five at once, ok. I got it.
Player 121: Here let's sit down.
Player 79 tosses the stones and catches them consecutively, and she misses one stone.
Team 2 groans
Player 238: There's no time! You have to hurry!

Furina: Xilonen. Practice that flip while we wait.
Xilonen: Yeah sure.
Xilonen starts practicing the Gong-gi flip
Meanwhile with Team 1
Player 369: It's an easy throw.
Player 178: Aim at it and just throw it already!
Player 44: Go on!
Player 198 throws the stone but missed
Team 1 groans
Player 179: You son of a bitch! You can't even throw a rock? I thought you said you were good at this!
Player 16: We gotta get it!
Team 1: Let's go! One, two! One, two! One, two! One, two!
Meanwhile with Team 2
Player 79 tosses and catches the stones consecutively
Player 238: You see what she just did?
Player 71: Good
Player 238: Good, now finish it. All in one go. So we can move on.

Alhaitham: Hey.
Kaveh: What?
Alhaitham: What are you doing?
Kaveh: Just praying for my survival. What else?
Alhaitham: You're so weird.
End Of Chapter
Chapter Two
The trek to Sumeru City is long, and hard. It rains most of the way, and I can’t recall the amount of times I tripped and fell flat on my face in the mud. The detour takes less time than we thought, so we arrive a little early.
We travelled with most of the people from Gandharva Ville, plus extras from other settlements. Kamran struck up a conversation with Tighnari, and they seem to like each other.
Eventually, dripping wet and covered in mud, we make it.
There are thousands of other people here for the reapings of District Seven and District Eight, so I have to concentrate hard not to completely lose Tighnari in the crowd.
The reapings take place in different areas, District Seven in the south of the city and District Eight in the north. We don’t have much time before the reaping starts and they call us to the stage, so Tighnari leads me to a quiet corner near the stage to wait it out. We sit down, leaning against the wall.
I watch the crowd surge by, a never-ending flood of people. I wonder which four people will not be going home today.
I don’t speak. There isn’t anything to say, apart from to voice my fears about who will be picked. Besides, silence is better than false chatter, trying and failing to dispel the tension that’s palpable in the air, visible in the anxious expressions of the crowd.
Rain drips into puddles on the floor. The clouds have long stopped pouring, but the water remains.
“Collei?”
“Yeah?”
“If either of us gets picked… you promise you’ll come back?”
Silence for a second.“Tighnari…”
More silence.
“Yes, I promise.”
I don’t know what else to say. I can’t promise something like that. If I get picked, the odds of me winning, a skinny sixteen-year old from District Seven… they’re not great.
He doesn’t react, just stays staring at the stream of people. “Okay.”
There’s another moment of silence, and then-
“Attention, all citizens from District Seven! The reaping is about to begin! Please make your way to Treasures Square!”
It’s time.
***
Tighnari and I stand in the middle of a huge crowd. Thousands of people.
It’s easier to imagine I’ll get away with someone I barely know being picked when I’m surrounded by possible tributes. I know it’s selfish, but I can’t bear the thought of Tighnari or anyone else I know having to go on that horrible screen, can’t bear it if someone I know gets murdered.
I crane my neck to see the stage. Two huge, round bowls sit there, each filled to the brim with names. One of those names is mine, and in the other bowl forty-two are Tighnari’s.
The odds are in our favour. We’ll get out of this unscathed.
Right?
“Hello, District Seven!”
Furina de Fontaine, District Seven’s escort, walks onto the stage. She’s beaming, her sunny smile the absolute opposite of the crowd’s mood. She’s dressed in a fancy blue suit, everything about her screaming over the top and extravagant.
Furina is really from Snezhnaya, but a long time ago her family were from District Nine. I guess they never got around to changing their name.
The Archon of Sumeru walks onto the stage beside Furina. She’s short, so short I can barely see her, with white hair and green clothes.
The Archons are as much under Snezhnaya and the Tsaritsa’s rule as we are. They can’t do anything even remotely related to rebellion, otherwise they run the risk of a ‘previously unknown and deadly disease’ befalling their nation. It’s happened before, in Natlan. Their population was decimated thanks to the ‘mysterious’ disease that obviously came from a lab in Snezhnaya, and no other Archon has tried anything since.
The Dendro Archon’s name is Nahida. She’s over five hundred, but she takes the form of a small girl.
“H-hello, District Seven,” she says in a quiet, sorrowful voice. I can see the pain on her face from here. Other Archons, like the Raiden Shogun and Neuvillette, hear the names with blank faces, but she always ends up bursting into tears. I feel so sorry for her, having to watch the people she’s supposed to protect be killed year after year, with nothing she can do to stop it.
She clears her throat, and begins the list of tributes who have won in the past. In the last seventy-four years, we have had fourteen. There is only one female who is still alive, and the others are all male.
Once that’s finished, she says something about how Snezhnaya is all-powerful, and then Furina takes over as soon as she can. Sometimes, I think Furina feels sorry for Nahida, but other times I think she just wants the limelight.
“And here we have some past winners;” she says, pointing to the right. A stream of seven people, most of them deathly old and all of them male, stumble onto the stage. Furina flings an arm around our most recent winner, a male named Alhaitham.
“This could be you!” she says. “Riches for the rest of your life! Never worry about food again!”
Alhaitham looks like he would rather die than be up there. The disdain for Furina is written all over his face, but she doesn’t seem to see it. He stands stiffly as she prattles on about how being picked is a great honour, and how you can bring prosperity to wherever you live when you win.
She doesn’t even say ‘if’ you win. Her lack of… well, everything, really, makes me hate her.
“And now,” she says, finally coming to the end of her speech, “It’s time for the tributes! Ladies went first last year, so it’s time for the boys!”
She rummages around emphatically in the male name ball. Pieces of paper swirl inside, and in my head they all say Tighnari. Eventually, she picks one out.
Not Tighnari… please not Tighnari…
She unfolds the scrap of paper and clears her throat.
God, please don’t let it be Tighnari… please…
“Sethos!”
Thank God!
I am so overcome with relief, I practically hug the person next to me. Tighnari is safe! He will never have to participate in the horror that is the Hunger Games!
Tighnari squeezes my hand, as if he can sense my elation.
Thank God, thank God. I don’t even know this Sethos person, and I know it’s selfish and horrible but I’m glad he was picked. At least it wasn’t anyone from Gandharva Ville.
“And now, for the female tribute…”
I barely even hear Furina, I’m so busy celebrating in my head.
She rummages around and picks out a scrap of paper.
Clears her throat.
Tighnari will never have to murder anyone… I’m safe. I’ll never be alone again.
And then…
Furina reads out the female tribute.
“Collei!”
Tighnari’s hand goes rigid in mine. I freeze, my eyes widening.
Several people sense my obvious shock, and back away slightly, creating a path for me to the stage. I step back, horror on my face.
No.
No.
It’s me.
Furina said my name.
I am the female tribute for District Seven in the seventy-fourth Teyvat Hunger Games.
Yay I finished chapter two! ik its a bit short but there's me freaking out abt it being too long or too short or god knows what, anyway hopefully there'll be a buncha short chapters which is better than a few of long ones I guess
Ugh I feel like this chapter isnt as good as the other one STOP SAYING STUFF LIKE THAT LILY GAHHH-
*coughs* moving onnnn
Pings (THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH IT MEANS THE WORLD THAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE MY FANFIC XD)
And I’ll doodle them during class
Example: Childe riding a lambo in heart sunglasses while yelling “ITS MY BROTHER’S BIRTHDAYYYY” while throwing mora out the window as Teucer sits on his shoulders 😭
The circle pink masked guards takes the corpses inside caskets to the incinerating area to incinerate the corses of the deceased players that were eliminated in the first game, Red Light Green Light. One of the circle guards places a casket in an incinerator that drops the casket to the area where the guards operates on dead corpses to sell their organs.
2 Triangle Guards opens the casket revealing the dead player corpse
Triangle Guard (Yelan): Hold this
Xianyun holds the dead player corpse and Yelan cuts open then chest and revealing the organs
Triangle Guard (Yelan): Did you call them yet?
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): I did, they should be here soon.
Triangle Guard (Yelan): They better be quick because the boat is about to be here. We had to skip that last delivery because the organs were all damaged.
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): How were they damaged again?
Triangle Guard (Yelan): One of the dead bodies had a damaged liver due to excessive consumption of alcohol. And because of that, it's liver was damaged and blackened.
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): What a shame. We would have gotten full price if it wasn't for that damaged kidney.
Triangle Guard (Yelan): Of course. They expected us to give healthy and good condition organs, which is very hard for us to do that because most of these players that were killed and we operated on, their organs are mostly all unhealthy.
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): Let's just hope this one goes well, then we get full price.
Yelan removes a liver from the dead player corpse and places it in a bag
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): Then there was this one we operated on.
Triangle Guard (Yelan): What about it?
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): That one was still alive when we operated on it. And I had to struggle to remove it's organs. It just rose up from the table like a zombie, and I had to beat it to death with bat.
Triangle Guard (Yelan): Oh yeah, I remember. It scared the shit out of me when it woke up. And that thing only had 1 kidney which also caused us not to get full price.
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): That's right, let's hope this one has 2 this time.
Yelan continues operating
Meanwhile in the lobby
Furina: So Hu Tao, you've really been here before?
Hu Tao: Yes, I was here once 4 years ago. And the other 455 players who were with me, they were all dead.
Furina: And you won 45.6 billion Mora?
Hu Tao: I did.
Furina: Hm, If I just get 20 million of that prize money that still won't be enough. If I can just survive until the next...
Hu Tao: Furina. When I was first in here 4 years ago, I heard a player say something just like that. And by the end, they were dead like everyone else.
Neuvillette: Then why don't you help us young lady?
Neuvillette and some other players approach Hu Tao
Neuvillette: You said that you've been here before. You're the reason I ended up voting to stay.
Hu Tao looks at Neuvillette
Neuvillette: It's true. After the first game I thought I was gonna quit. And then I saw you. And I thought to myself "One more. Then I can go."
Lyney: Yeah, maybe you can help us of you played these games before.
Xilonen: Exactly. You're a previous winner, you can help us.
Kirara: I thought the same thing.
Hu Tao sighs
Charlotte: Hey. You know what's next, don't you?
Citlali: Yeah, what's the next game?
Furina: Oh yeah. You're a previous winner here so you know what game 2 is. So, what are we playing?
Hu Tao: The second game we played back then.....
Hu Tao: ......was Dalgona.
Ororon: Dalgona? Like the honeycomb you carve the shape out of?
Hu Tao: That's right. We had to pick one out of thr 4 shapes they showed us.
Furina: Ok then. Which one out of the 4 is the easiest one to do?
Hu Tao: The easiest was the triangle.
Mualani: What about the hardest one?
Hu Tao: Umbrella.
Mualani: Umbrella?
Neuvillette: So players actually picked umbrella?
Hu Tao recalls herself choosing the umbrella shspe dalgona in the second game 4 years ago
Neuvillette: They had no idea what the game was so I bet they were totally screwed. Right?
Players murmuring in agreement
Navia: Wait. That means we all just need to pick the triangle. Everyone should be anle to get through this one, right?
Player 100: Hey wait wait wait wait. If all 365 of us survive, that means the prize money will stay the same. We'd risked our lives to play another game for nothing.
Other players agreeing
Player 100: Good. We keep this quiet. It stays between us so that means we're the only ones who know. Sound good?
Hu Tao: We can't do that. The only reason I'm telling you this now is because I wanna try and save everybody. When I'm positive Dalgons's the next thing we're playing, then I'll tell every single person here what I just told you people.
Cyno: So, are you sure the next game is Dalgona?
Hu Tao: I have a feeling the next game might be different. Especially since it's been 4 years since I was here.
Furina: You're saying that the games might have changed since you've been here 4 years ago?
Hu Tao: Yes. I have that feeling.
Players chattering
Neuvillette: Then. We'll just have to see if it's true.
Furina: so Hu Tao, which shape did you pick back then?
Hu Tao: The umbrella.
Mualani: The umbrella? You said it was the hardest shape.
Kuki: So how did you manage to piece it out?
Hu Tao: I used a tatic, by licking the honeycomb until the outlines melts so that I can remove the excess pieces.
Mualani: That's impressive. I should fo the same.
Sigewinne: Me too.
Neuvillette: You said you won these games and made it out. And you won 45.6 billion Mora.
Did you spent all of it already?
Furina: Are you seriously betting on money again Neuvillette?
Hu Tao: The money does not belong to me. The ones who died in this place, that's their blood money. And the same goes for everything in there
Hu Tao points at the giang piggy bank
Neuvillette: What point is there in thinking about it like that? After all it's not like you killed anyone yourself. And that way of thinking won't help bring any of them back to life.
Hu Tao: If you'r pressed "X" liked I asked
You to we all could've left here alive. You could've saved everybody.
Neuvillette: True. I was the last player to press "O." It wasn't just me though. There's 182 other people who wanted to stay here.
Hu Tao: Yeah, and 182 more of them who wanted to get the hell out of this place.
Neuvillette: If I hadn't pressed "O." If I'd hit "X" and we'd all gone home, you think they'd appreciate what I'd done? If one of these people ran into me years from now, do you think they'd say they were happy I voted to go? That they ended up with a great life after all?
Furina: Alright that's enough. It is what it is. No use pointing fingers now. I mean, we're all in the same boat. Everybody's got their issues here. We just need to focus on winning the next game tomorrow. We have someone with us who's already won. If we just work as a team, then we have nothing to worry about. You know?
Mualani: Yeah that's right.
Xilonen: Then we shall work together till the end. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Xilonen.
Furina: Xilonen, what a nice name.
Xilonen: Thank you.
Furina: I'm Furina.
Xilonen: Furina, nice to meet you.
Quarrelling in a distance. And Kaveh started beating up Ororon.
Kaveh: You know how much money I losy because of you?
Kaveh kicks Ororon
Kaveh kicks again
Kaveh: Fuck you!
Kaveh stomps on Ororon
Alhaitham: Jerk.
Nilou: That guy's crazy.
Xilonen: Someone should intervene.
Furina: Yeah.
Neuvillette approaches the scene
Neuvillette: Hey, kids. What makes you think you can behave like that? Especially while people are eating. And in front of your elders too. It's bad manners, not to mention it's two against one. Shame on you guys.
Kaveh: You're in here just like everyone else. So cut the lecture....Granddad. How about instead of yip-yapping at me, you go back home to your own kids, you yell at them?
Neuvillette: What did you say?
Kaveh: I said save the lecture for your own kids.
Neuvillette grabs Kaveh's throat
Player 124: Hey, get you fuckin...
Neuvillette kicks Player 124's knee
Player 124: Agh!
Neuvillette kicks Player 124 down
Neuvillette let's go of Kaveh. Kaveh tries to hit Neuvillette but he dodges and jabs at Kaveh's chest
Kaveh: Wait, wait a minute.
Neuvillette grabs Kaveh's arm and twists it and kicks him 2 times
Kaveh: Agh!
Neuvillette stomps on Kaveh's face
Kaveh: Agh!
Neuvillette grabs Kaveh's jacket
Kaveh: I'm sorry, sir. Please, I can't breathe. I'm sorry.
Neuvillette let's go of Kaveh
Players cheering
Mualani: Awesome!
Arlecchino: Nice!
Kirara: Nice job!
Tighnari: Yeah!
Xilonen: What's that guys deal?
Furina: He's a Sovereign.
Meanwhile back at the operating room
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): Where's the delivery team?
Door buzzes
Yelan opens the door and scans the two circle guards
Triangle Guard (Yelan): It's about time you 2 showed up.
Circle Guard (Heizou): Yeah, sorry about that.
Triangle Guard (Yelan): Number 25, you're finally here.
Circle Guard (Shenhe): Yeah, I am.
Circle Guard (Heizou): I gave her a warning, it won't happen again.
Triangle Guard (Xianyun): It better be. Now, deliever these organs. They're in good condition this time, and make sure you get full price.
Circle Guard (Heizou): We will.

This could be treated as an apology for the mild offense I committed earlier by depicting her in coffin form /j
Does it look better with or without sparkles?
The iPad I use actually died during this process 😑 I know the shading is different from the Columbina art, I often switch between cell shading and blending.

My eyelids flicker, filtering in the soft light of dawn. I roll over, wanting to stay in the hazy warmth of sleep, but it’s too late.
I sit up slowly, my wavy, oak-leaf green hair falling against my cheek.
A feeling of dread washes over me, and it takes me a second to remember why.
Today is the reaping.
The seventy-fourth Teyvat Hunger Games will begin in exactly three weeks, once the tributes have been chosen.
The games started almost exactly seventy-four years ago, after the Great War was won by Snezhnaya, and they decided to remind the districts who was in control.
There are six regions, and they are all divided into two districts. Eastern and Western Monstadt, Northern and Southern Liyue, Narukami Island, Kannzaku, and Yashiori Island, Watatsumi Island, Seirai Island and Tsurumi Island, Eastern Sumeru, Desert Sumeru, Northern and Southern Fontaine, and Eastern and Western Natlan.
Each year, two tributes are chosen from each district, one male and one female.
They then fight to the death in the Teyvat Hunger Games.
Last year, a girl from Gandharva Ville was chosen. Her name was Nasrin, and I guess I saw her around sometimes. She died in that year’s games when a tribute from District Nine stabbed her with a tree branch.
There was a lot of blood and screaming, and later that day Nasrin’s brother nearly committed suicide. It just goes to show how horrible the Games really are.
Anyway, this year I just have to hope it’s no-one I know.
Or myself.
I am usually more optimistic than this, I promise.
“Collei?”
“Coming!”
I walk out of my bedroom, stretching. Tighnari sits at the table in the kitchen, scribbling something on a piece of paper.
“Get dressed, Collei. We have to go to the- the reaping soon.”
Tighnari’s voice hitches slightly on the word ‘reaping’. He’s lost a fair share of people he knows to the games.
I shudder to think of the day when all the small, sweet children who crowd around me and my sewing will be eligible to participate. Most of them are nine or ten, and still have a few years to go until their names are put into the reaping bowl.
I open the cupboard door for some breakfast, and wince. Our rations for this week have nearly run out.
The districts have different ways of sharing out the little food we have. Sumeru tends to trade for it, catching whatever we can in the rainforests and hoping we can trade it for something good. Tighnari is adamant I won’t sign up for Tesserae, when they give you bags of grain in exchange for putting your names extra times in the reaping bowl.
This is Tighnari’s last year of eligibility, though. Once he’s unable to get Tessarae, he’ll have no choice but to let me get it instead. I haven’t told him yet, because I know how he’ll react. Still, what other choice do we have?
Tighnari won’t tell me how many times his name is in the bowl, but I suspect it’s around forty-six.
I have to tell myself forty-six is a low number compared to thousands of other names, but I still scare myself to death worrying when the male tribute’s name is called.
If Tighnari went into the Hunger Games, I’d be alone. He’s the closest thing I have to family, after I was abandoned outside Gandarva Ville, about two weeks after I was born. He found me and asked his parents if they could keep me, and when they both died a few years later, during one of the many disease epidemics, he was old enough to fend for himself.
Now he’s all I have left.
“Tighnari?” I say. “We’ve… the rations…” The tone of my voice says the rest. “I’ll have to… when you collect your last Tesserae, I’ll sign up.”
He’s on his feet in a flash, whatever he was writing forgotten. “What? No.”
I wince. I knew he would react like this.
“We don’t have any other choice. There isn’t enough food for the both of us, even with the Tesserae.”
“Collei…” he pauses, and I can see the unhappiness and indecision on his face. “I’ll… think about it.”
I let the subject drop. I know ‘I’ll think about it’ means he’ll put it off until he’s forced to make a decision, but what else can I do?
I fiddle with the green dendro Vision hanging on my belt. For years, Visions were outlawed by Snezhnaya, but eventually there were just too many district citizens getting them, and they had to lift the ban. It’s illegal to train with a vision, but I do it in secret in the forest, when no-one's around. People sometimes have Visions in the games, and it usually gets especially gorey and ‘exciting’ when they do. Tighnari has a Vision as well, and so do a couple of other people I know.
I go back to my room, pulling on clothes. We live in a four-roomed house on the edge of Gandarva Ville, so decrypting that no-one bothers to charge us rent.
I grab my bow and arrow from the case under the bed. We have an hour or two before we have to begin the long trek to Sumeru city, where they do the reaping.
I’ll go and check the traps I set in the forest, see if I can get anything for breakfast. We’re not allowed to, but since the only people who are actually allowed in the forest are the forest watchers, no-one notices. Besides, Tighnari is a forest watcher, so he’d be able to bail us out of trouble.
I walk back to the kitchen. “Going to check the traps.” Tighnari nods, still focused on whatever he’s writing.
I open the door and close it behind me, once again grateful we have a lock. This is still one of the only houses no-one bothers to rent that also has a lock built into the door.
I walk down the path of wooden planks, towards the ground. Most of Gandarva Ville is built around a huge tree, and the rest of it spreads out beneath me.
I stare at the view for a second, wondering whether today will be the last day someone ever gets to see it.
“Wait- Collei!”
I turn, surprised. Tighnari is standing at the door to our house, waving frantically. A man with brown hair and light skin stands beside him.
“Kamran’s travelling from Caravan Ribat, and he said that the path is blocked near Pardis Dhyai. We’ll have to take a detour, so we need to go now.”
I jog back to our house, cursing whatever caused this detour. I was looking to have at least a few more hours of freedom, but that’ll have to wait until we get back.
Tighnari steps away from the door to let me in. “C’mon, we have to go in a few minutes.”
I grab my thicker pair of boots from the cupboard in my room, and shove them on. Tying back my hair with some string, I debate about bringing my jacket, and then decide against it. It’s summer, so I probably won’t need it, and it’ll just be more weight in my bag.
What else do I need? We’re only going for the day, and we’ll come back later, sometime during the night. The walk to Sumeru City only takes an hour.
Food? No. I need the rabbit to trade for something else tomorrow, in the market, and what else have we got? Not much, that’s for sure.
I walk back to the kitchen. Tighnari’s putting on a cap, one of the ones that has holes for his ears. Whenever we sell one, we have to patch the holes. Lucky for him I’m good at sewing.
Eventually, we’re both ready. Outside, I see streams of people making their way to the gate at the edge of the town. The reaping for both Eastern Sumeru and Desert Sumeru will be held in Sumeru City, so there’ll be thousands of people there.
“Okay,” Tighnari says. “Let’s go.”
End of chapter One-
Tysm for reading!! so uhh I deleted the earlier thing abt being unable to post the rest of the chapter bc I literally couldn't, so I had to edit the story. It was originally around four pages long, now its three :(
Oh well...
Pings (YEEEEE THANK YOU PEOPLEEEEEEE HWIHFHJENBCFUYRH)
(Jesus why is this list so long THANK YOU PEOPLEEEE AGHHHHHHHH)
After the first game, all the pink guards reports back to their rooms. A female Triangle Guard enters her room and then gets pinned to the bed by 2 other Triangle Guards
Triangle Guard: Hey! What the?!
The other Triangle Guard takes off her mask and it's Chiori
Triangle Guard (Sethos): Huh, I honestly thought you'd be some total freak underneath that mask. But you have quite the decent face.
Triangle Guard (Scaramouche): Yeah, Inazuma girls are very pretty.
Chiori: What the hell is this? This is against the rules.
Triangle Guard (Sethos): Rules my ass. You should've steerer clear if you weren't going to help.
Chiori: I'm going to report this.
Scaramouche takes off his mask and hood
Triangle Guard (Scaramouche): Report to who? The officer?
Scaramouche cackles
Triangle Guard (Scaramouche): How long do you think she'll protect you? She's already cut you loose.
Sethos takes off his mask
Triangle Guard (Sethos): Do you want me to explain it to you in detail? The situation you're in?
Chiori headbutts Sethos and fights them off
Chiori: Get out of my room!
Sethos and Scaramouche exits Chiori's room
Meanwhile back at the lobby. The players sat down and relaxed next to their beds after the first game.
Chasca: You alright?
Xilonen: Yeah I'm fine.
Furina: Hey Hu Tao. What was that crazy-ass doll thing? Were there guns in it's eyes?
Hu Tao: The doll wasn't the one shooting at us. They have a team of guards up in the walls.
Furina: How could you know that though? Have you been here before?
Alarm buzzes and the pink guards enters the room
Square Guard: You have successfully made it through the first game. Congratulations to you all. Now if I may have your attention. I will announce the results so far.
The number of players on the board above drops from 456 to 365
Square Guard: Out of 456 players, 91 have been eliminated. Which means 365 players have completed the first game.
Square Guard: Once again, congratulations to all of you for making it through the first game.
Player 444: Sir, listen to me please! Let us go, please! Please! Don't kill us! I know we owe money. I swear, I'll pay it back!
Multiple players starts kneeling down and begging for the pink guards to spare their life
Square Guard: Players, there seems to be a misunderstanding. We are not trying to hurt you or collect your debts. We are simply providing you with an opportunity.
Hu Tao: Consent form clause 3!
The whole room goes silent
Hu Tao: If the majority of the players agree to stop playing, the games will be terminated. Isn't that correct?
Square Guard: That is correct.
Hu Tao: We'll do that. We'll put it to a vote.
Square Guard: If that's what you'd like. During these games, we will always respect your right to freedom of choice.
Players chattering
Square Guard: But before we vote, we will reveal how much prize money has accumulated after the first game.
The giant piggy bank lowers and tons of mora drops into it as the players look up to it
Square Guard: A total of 91 players were eliminated during the first game. Therefore, 9.1 billion mora has acumulated so far. if you decide to stop playing and quit the games now, the remaining 365 players will split the 9.1 billion mora amongst themselves. Meaning, you each leave with an equal share.
Cyno: Ok, how much per share?
Square Guard: Each player would get 24,931,500 mora.
Kaveh: Are you serious? Man, come on, we like almost died.
Kachina: 24 million, that's all?
Lynette: Cheapskate.
Xilonen: 20 mil? You're cheating us.
Chasca: What happened to 45 billion?
Square Guard: As per rules of the games, 100 million mora is added to the piggy bank for each player eliminated. If you decide to play the next game, and more players are eliminated, then the total prize money will increaee again accordingly.
Alhaitham: So, if we make it to the end of all this, how much do we get?
Square Guard: As previously mentioned, the total amount of prize money for all 456 players is 45.6 billion mora. That 45.6 billion will be divided amongst the players who make it through all six games without being eliminated.
Dehya: Ok, so that would mean that you're the only one at the end, you'd get it all?
Square Guard: That is correct.
Nilou: So we'll still be able to call for a vote if we make it all the way through the next game too?
Square Guard: As outlined in the consent form, once each games has concluded, you may call for a vote. If the majority agrees, you may take the accumulated prize money and leave.
Square Guard: Ensuring our players are participating in the games of their own volition is always our highest priority. With that, the voting may now begin.
The guards sets up the voting table in the front of the lobby room
Square Guard: If you wish to continue playing, press the blue button with the "O". If you wish to stop playing, press the red button with the "X".
Square Guard: You will vote in order of player number from highest to lowest. Player 456.
Hu Tao steps forward to the voting table
Hu Tao presses X
Square Guard: Once you've voter, attact the patch you're given to the right side of your chest, and stand in the area marked with the corresponding symbol.
Hu Tao goes to the X area
Square Guard: Player 455.
Player 455 presses O
Square Guard: Player 453.
Mavuika presses X
Square Guard: Player 451.
Navia presses O
Square Guard: Player 413.
Arlecchino presses O
Square Guard: Player 350
Kuki presses X
Square Guard: Player 345
Dehya presses X
Square Guard: Player 333
Citlali presses X
Square Guard: Player 316
Kaveh presses O
After multiple votes, the vote ratio is now 87 - 91
Hu Tao: Hold on everyone! Wait a minute!
Hu Tao goes to the middle
Hu Tao: Don't do this to yourselves. Just think for a second. Can't you see what's going on? These aren't regular games we're playing. If we don't stop this they'll kill us all! Just focus on getting out of this place. And to do that, we need to win the vote. We can stop this here and now.
Player 100: And who you think you are? Why are you trying to egg people on! What're you getting at? The game had just started and you scared us shouting about getting shot!
Player 249: He's right! You kept going on and on about how we were all gonna die and I got so nervous that I was almost killed out there!
Player 443: By the way, how did you know they were gonna shoot at us? You work for these guys?
Player 100: You're a plant, put here to try and trick us. They hired you to come and confuse us all! Who is this girl! You're the ones who put her in here to manipulate us!
Xilonen: Hey, old man, you better watch yourself. She's the reason you're not dead. You should be thanking her, not calling her a fraud.
Mualani: She's right, without here none of us would be here right now.
Charlotte: Yeah, without her help none of us would be alive.
Ororon: Exactly. You guys should be thanking her, not discriminating her.
Player 443: Hey fucker why do you care? You also a plant?
Ororon: You kiss your mama with that mouth?
Player 443: I kiss your mama. What you gonna do, huh?
Lynette: Guys! Come on! Think about this! Come on let's just go!
Chasca: None of us would have any chance of surviving if we go on!
Nilou: Yeah, come on! Let's leave!
Citlali: Everyone! Think about what we've been through today. We can't let this go on. It's only thanks to this young lady that any of us are still breathing after all that. Listen, I know how much money means to you all. But your lives are worth a lot more than money, so let's just finish this vote and get out of here!
Player 432: Nope! We're staying!
Faruzan: Come on! Let's just leave!
The players starts chattering and quarrelling
Hu Tao: I'VE PLAYED THESE GAMES BEFORE!!!!
The players goes silent
Hu Tao: I said I've played these games before! I knew about the first game because I've already done it. Because I played the exact same one!
Hu Tao: I was here 4 years ago, and I played them all. And every single person who was here with me...........
Hu Tao: .....they were all killed! Everyone!
The players gasps and exclaims
Citlali: Died?
Layla: They really died?
Gorou: Wait. If everyone else died, then how did you survive?
Gorou: Unless. You're saying you were the only winner?
Hu Tao: It's true. I was the only one who made it.
Players chattering
Hu Tao: If you keep playing until the end, I guarantee every single person in this room....
Hu Tao: ....will eventually end up like those players. We will all be killed.
Player 100: What a load of bullshit. If you're the only one who made it, you won 45.6 billion mora. Why the hell would you come crawling back?
Player 249: Yeah! She's gotta be lying!
Kaveh: If you really did win this thing before that's good for us. You can give us some tips on how to win. And get to the end like you did
Player 100: That's right! He's won this. There's nothing to worry about. We all can win! Okay, come on! Let's make money!
Players starts chattering
Hu Tao: I need you all to listen to me. We have to leave this place. If we keep playing games, then more and more people are going to die. We have to end this right now so we can get out of here alive.
A Triangle Guard approaches Hu Tao and points a gun at her
Square Guard: Starting now, we will not permit any action that interferes with the voting process. With that, we will now resume voting.
After multiple votes, the ratio is now tied
Square Guard: We are down to one last vote, Player 1
Player 1 walks up to the voting table and presses O
Players cheering and yelling
Square Guard: The majority if the players have voted to continue the game. Therefore, the games will continue.
Player 1 turns around and it's Neuvillette
End Of Chapter
Oh and Columbina art too. I was feeling dangerous and edgy, and skipped the sketch and went right to lineart, and as a result did not want to embark on the treacherous endeavor of drawing the other hand.
Bahhh I feel that the quality was reduced so much, I draw it on an iPad then mail it to my phone so it definitely looks a little different.
The flower is a withering purpurbloom (but pink of course because how else would it fit the artwork) because I believe she'll appear in Natlan. I haven't yet done the rest of the archon quest so I don't know if the Pyro gnosis has already been taken or not.
Columbina has been motivating me to start drawing regularly again, I kind of got lazy for a while and didn't keep practicing my skills. She's so pretty and I love drawing her so much, the hair, the lace, and OH MY GOD THE WINGS.
I completely forgot about this thing. It’s my version of a crossover between Raiden Shogun and Raiden from MGR.
Have a half-a-year-late Raiden^2. The art is a bit rough because this is the first time I did independent art involving shitty reflective elements like metal. I also put in a grand total of 3 minutes rendering her hair.
I'm not sure who to ping rn I lost my pinglist ;=; I'll do a poll later to see who wants pings
Fontainian artist who is a professional fencer. They are as gentle and elegant as a paintbrush and stun their opponents with extravagant and exquisite swordsmanship, distracting them before landing the final blow. They are known for their abstract art and treat their sword as if it were yet another paintbrush, the enemy being their canvas. Name ideas? What vision should they have? They are from the poorer section of Fontaine but clawed their way to the top of the art scene, translating their fencing skills onto the canvas. They lost their parents to a flood, taking up fencing in their father's memory, and continuing to paint as they had done with their mother years ago.
After all the players signed the consent form to participate in the games. They walk by theaze staircase to take their photo and head to the first game venue.
Mualani: What is this place?
Kinich: I don't know, but this place looks shady.
Alhaitham: Looks like something that came from a kid's game.
Navia: What's over there?
Furina: Hold on, what's that?
Hu Tao looks forward and she sees a familiar doll that she has seen before in the game
Announcer: Welcome to the first game. You will be playing Red Light Green Light.
Citlali: Red Light Green Light? Is that all?
Ororon: See? I told you, there's no gambling.
Citlali: I played this when I was a kid.
Announcer: Players who cross the finish line before within the time limit without being eliminated will win this game.
Hu Tao goes to the front of the starting line
Hu Tao: Everyone! Everybody, you need to pay attention! Hey! Listen up!
Everyone goes silent
Hu Tao: I'm gonna tell you something and you need to listen closely. This isn't just a game, it's more than that. If you move after "red light". You're going to be shot!
Everyone chattering
Kaveh: Shot?
Alhaitham: What's this young lady's deal?
Xilonen: I have no idea.
Cyno: Me neither.
Tighnari: Excuse me young lady, what exactly are you saying? That we're all gonna die playing Red
Light Green Light? Really?
Mualani: What?
Hu Tao: Yeah, that's right. If they catch you moving, you're gonna be killed! They're gonna shoot you. There's guns in the walls!
Nilou: She's gotta be drunk or something.
Dehya: Yeah, she must be.
Charlotte: Yeah, that's just ridiculous. We will die playing this game? What a joke.
Hu Tao: Pay attention! That sensor catches you, you will die! See that big doll there? Look at it! It's eyes are like motion tracking sensors! If it sees you move, you die!
Kirara: What is this bullshit? What's your angle?
Faruzan: I think she's trying to freak people put.
Layla: Yeah.
Arlecchino: Yeah! Stop lying.
Mavuika: I think she said those so that she wouldn't have to share the money. She could win it all.
Hu Tao: You gotta believe me, I swear I'm not lying!
The doll turns around and faces the tree as the game is about to start
Hu Tao: No matter what, do not panic! You can't afford to! Remember everything I told you! Stay as still as you can! Don't try and run away!
Announcer: With that, let the game begin.
Doll: Green light.
The players starts moving
Doll: Red light.
The players stops
Hu Tao: Now hold!
The players stays still and the doll turns around to detect movements
Hu Tao: Good job! That's it, keep nice and calm, just like that. You got it? Move steady as you go, and then stop before "red light." We'll make it out alive!
Xilonen: Should I believe that?
Chasca: I don't know.
Doll: Green light.
The players starts moving
Doll: Red light!
Hu Tao: Hold still!
The players stops and the doll turns around to detect movements
Hu Tao: Ok good! Now try to relax. Stay where you are!
Lynette: You need to cut it out, you're scaring everyone.
Hu Tao: Speak with your mouth covered. It could be seen.
Doll: Green light.
The players starts moving
Doll: Red light.
Hu Tao: Hold still!
The players stops and the doll turns around to detect movements
Doll: Green light.
The players starts moving
