I agree with AlmostSerious. I think Chasm Delvers is alot more tragic because of how human it is. It's easy to forget how dangerous Teyvat is with the epic story and these superhuman characters with visions, but cases of adventures dying and going missing are everywhere, and becoming an adventurer is generally met with concern. Zhiqiong was such a lovable character and it's depressing to see her succumb to her humanity and die in the way she did - especially when all she wanted was to be remembered like the adventurers she admires. It also doesn't help that the Chasm is basically an anomaly and its depth is unknown...getting completely lost there has got to be one of the most torturous ways to die.

Guys hear me out:

Duo NPC that finally teaches the Traveler to be fluent in the damn language so Paimon doesn't need to yap for us 24/7 in lore

For the "And then in Act III and Lyney's SQ, which most new users will do RIGHT AFTER doing act 2" technically more time had passed since then and the Traveler was less upset that they were from the Fatui and more that they lied + the terrible situation that was taking place. When things calmed down so did the Traveler. And even though people NOW do the quest right after act 2, iirc act 3 didn't come for like a month or so after act 2 released.

OML I agree so much on Meropide. I honestly think that entire act could have been skipped with how tedious it is. The primordial sea flooding becoming relevant in the story could easily have just started with Poisson (with a bit more build-up - which we would have plenty of time for if you take out the fortresses arc), and the Whale foreshadowing could be done exactly the same through childe's vision - but yk, not in prison... I honestly don't know what it contributed.

I actually like the whale and I think "The All Devouring Narwhal" is just a really cool name. However I think the rest of act 5 was total BS.

I honestly don't get what exposing Furina was going to accomplish... considering the entire success of her 500 year mission relied on Focalors being able to chill in the back and collect super-juice from the trials to nuke herself and give Nuevillete his powers. It would have been much better if the story just had Furina open up to us, queue the flashback/custscenes and boom Nuevillete is powered again since the prophecy was already upon us.

I also think the Narwhal showing up out of nowhere in the opera house so suddenly was total BS and killed the immersion.

How it should have gone (IMO):

1) Skip Meropide as I already mentioned earlier.

2) After Furina opens up Focalors decides to make her move, Neuvi is repowered and then MC gets hit with a sudden vision of the Narwhal growing hungry (Via Childe's vision), so they and Nuevi decide to deal with the problem once and for all because the Hydro dragon has been restored.

3) The rest of the group decides to warn the rest of Fontaine about the incoming disaster of the prophecy(So they don't just sit there yapping what we already know and do nothing afterwards).

4) Mood music hits, MC and Nuevi take the (EPIC) entrance to the fortress (a much better introduction IMO), where the primordial seawater is most concentrated behind the gate.

5) Once they reach the innermost part of the fortress they have Rizzley (sorry) release the seal and Nuevi summons the Narwhal -- who hungry for Fontainian "blood".

6) Queue the Childe cutscene, queue the cinematic fight, queue the prophecy, and finish by checking up with everyone like in the original story.

Honestly I don't see any other way to introduce Skirk but they could have just stated the Narwhal was cooked by Traveler/Neuvi duo and not have her return it to its pokeball :skull:. I also don't blame the Traveler for being an ass, bro has been to a million worlds and the one they just so happen to get stuck on has like 30 world-threatening crises and a population that feels no shame into dragging a stranger into the most dangerous situations imaginable and not do crap to help them with their incredibly simple mission.

I honestly don't mind the "genshin could never." The way I see it they are just more voices helping our cause so that we have slightly increased odds of Hoyo actually listening and giving Genshin the qol it deserves.

Wriothesely. Everything he does just kinda gets under my skin and annoys me. I don't like his personality at all. His design is amazing but the personality not so much..
