I named him Stumpy.

She's very good.

Basically she has these "samples" that decrease nearby enemies Elemental RES when activated.

To activate them, you have to use her skill to enter the Nightsoul Blessing's state, then attack an enemy with her normal attack twice (I think it's twice?). This will max out her Nightsoul points, which will consume them all, activating her samples.

Works with Pyro, Electro, Cryo and Hydro characters.

She can also heal with her burst.

Sounds complicated but isn't once you get the hang of her.

So apparently both had their Set bonuses shown when they were explaining the changes to the Sanctifying Elixir.

First set in plunge based (mainly for Varesa I'm guessing).

Second set in Cryo based for someone with a very specific playstyle (likely Skirk).

It's been after for the past three versions, so I think it's safe to say it's a permanent change.

I'm guessing they changed it so announcing a new character/new characters right before the new version doesn't impact their sales.

I'm surprized they didn't do it a long time ago to be honest.

The Volcano map expansion, the new world quest, and Xilonen's rerun.

Also Iansan.

Actually apparently the Finale of the Deep Galleries set bonuses are out, I just don't know where they came from.

Not that I know of. I think they'll come out when we get closer to 5.5.

I plan to go for Xilonen too. I'm just going to pull on Varesa's banner until I get Iansan.

Hopefully I don't get "lucky".

Even if Iansan turns out to be slightly worse than Bennett (buffing wise), I'm still building her because I'm sick of him.

Not being limited to a specific area and being able to generate fighting spirit for Mavuika is my excuse.

I guess a flying non-Anemo character was never going to happen.

If he's another Anemo Catalyst I will die.

He looks cool.

Couldn't find a vision but I hope he's Pyro.

A Natlan focused version. Hopefully they give us the final Natlan world quest so I can see my little one again.

My Banner predictions are Varesa, Xianyun, Kokomi and a Natlan character (Mualani, Kinich or Xilonen).

Eng Voice for Aether is on strike so there wouldn't be any.

Not sure about Lumine but I assume the same.

If you mean from other languages, then I have no idea.

Don't get Mizuki (especially if you don't like her playstyle). You will probably lose a 50/50 to her at some point, and if you don't, the 5-Star selector should come back in 6.0, with Mizuki as an option.

Aside from that, my advice is probably Wanderer if you really want him. He hasn't had a rerun since 4.6 (I think), so he might get one soon and he probably won't have another one after that for ages. Plus, Varessa is new so her rerun will come much sooner.

Not sure about Kazuha/Xilonen cons since I personally never get cons and would much rather get a new character, so I don't know what advice I can give there.

I agree that Skirk was a bit out of nowhere, but I think this future character reveal was to get us excited for the upcoming updates, not the ones a million years away. I don't see the point otherwise.

I think their releases will look something like this

5.6 - Chef Girl (5-Star), Ifa (4-Star)

5.7 - Skirk (5-Star, released during the Dain quest update, in which she will be heavily involved.)

5.8 - Whoever that singing person is (4-Star, as releasing a 5-Star during the last patch right before a new region generally never goes well)

Pretty sure there can only be 1 5-Star per tribe and Varesa's drip marketing came first, so most likely.

She's definitely a 4-Star, which is good for me because I wanted her but couldn't if she was 5-Star. Hopefully she's good and I can find a use for her.

It's 100% Skirk. Their designs match exactly.

Also, Ifa is going to be a 4-Star.
