Because it feels like a scam given the effort required to obtain an often mediocre artifact
My idea is it would replace the artifact strongbox: putting 3 level 0 five-star artifacts in there gives you one elixir. Higher level artifacts count as an additional artifact per level they have (to balance this, getting an artifact costs a little bit more elixir). There also isn’t a limit to how many artifacts of a particular set you can craft.
They also would cost a bit more because you’d get to choose all four substats. Individual rolls would still be random, but part of my idea is that you could spend 1 or 2 elixir to reassign a roll (on any five-star artifact, not just those created with the transmuter) - so if it say, went into defense, you could pay the elixir and reassign that roll to crit damage.
There is NO WAY hoyo would actually implement this LMAO, but it’s fun to imagine. Honestly I think I would play the game even more if they added this, because then it would be really easy to just… build characters for fun. I’d build characters that I would only ever use situationally in Theater
(Her low ER is currently fine due to her rotation being right after Favonius Sword Xilonen, she can burst reliably every round) (also Earth Shaker’s passive also triggers reliably due to the two other team centers being pyro)

In all seriousness though, I don’t think Shenhe is being let out of cryo jail anytime soon and I want to see a character who specializes in charged attacks, not just having it as a bonus in their kit

Please charged attack buffer… please let them give interruption resistance too since a lot of the charged attack characters are vulnerable to interruption (I could see constellations doing things like increasing attack speed)
I want a four-star damage dealer who uses bond of life mechanics
Or basically a Furina for bond of life, allowing other characters to use the bond of life artifact set + working well with characters who already use bond of life
A support that REALLY buffs Physical characters (probably also the superconduct reaction since that decreases physical resistance)
Hydro / electro shield characters
Since we now have Dendro and Geo Keqing we should have a Keqing for all the elements!! /hj
