I MAY OR MAY NOT be able to take off and move onto the next things i want to focus on (gesture and claude monet style lighting et cetera)

i appear to be able to convey volume, gesture, expressions subtlety etc now, but i have to be actively thinking about it, actually having it part of my style would take like months, but I’m now at the last stage - application,

actually i got obsessed with jjk and mha recently and found out how AWESOMELY DEPICTED facial expressions are in those two series, as per basic and simple techniques given by some disney animators!!

so I decided to study some, if not a MULTITUDE OF THEIR PANELS, I wanna employ more techniques from them in my art, cause the reason I haven’t drawn nor posted much recently is due to the aim of needed to overhaul my stuff, in this case one of THE main things that needed work were expressions;

the dullness was partially attributed to the fact they cause a emotion reaction and i want to look at my work and relax, but ever since my hero “told” me; “expressions are supposed to give you a reaction, visceral or not”

Thereby, i spent like 2 months trying to change my mindset and accept the fact if whoever I’m drawing is bawling their eyes out and they look extremely ugly, it’s okay cause people do look pretty ugly when they cry. yes, there are workarounds like jujutsu kaisen’s but i want to PUSH it as clear as possible or as subtle as disney/heroaca/jjk/whatever, so anyway I’m not sure if i sound like a broken record but it’s a success now! partially the problem with tutorials that tell you “x expression is this y is y” is that they are very gooooood in theory and in basics but one must accept that other people react differently to the same stimulus, so it’s fine if one stares into a blank wall if what’s being expressed is (???)

Anyway gesture, the trick here is to think like a disney animator and to think about it even while drawing the head/before even drawing, i oftentimes draw for the sake of just drawing but i usually end up with lackluster stuff for me to look at so I’ll aim further. so now I’ll try to think as if everything i draw is animated in some way or sumthin. also I’ve been learning techincal drawing so I’ve got an upgrade in angle estimation! extremely useful for drawing face angles and et ecetera!

Also…. genshin…. I just got neuvilette and learned that his va also voices sukuna… no wonder why jjk and demon slayer both feel so much like genshin in english to the point i just KEEP them in english!!! (dude the sheer amount of genshin vas in those shows are craaaazy)

Oh yeah neuvy’s probably at risk of crit rate overload if i manage to get his 4pc BiS, no more crit rate stats needed! hp and cdmg all the way baby!!

Also watched miraculous today its a disaster, love it

Currently watching mlb and svtfoe after realizing they’re like (shonen?) anime but cartoons and i thought i could watch em’ atta other until i realized THEY ARENT SUPPOSED TO BE! but tbh man miraculous’ plot is so weird i aint believing the spoilers till i see them
