Hoooly shit-
Damn, dedication!
Hoping he doesn't rerun that soon cause I really want him too and I'll be broke after Mavuika.
Lingxiang sounds like it could be an actual name. Bear mind I don't know how Chinese works though.
Lahori, after Ustad Ahmad Lahori, the architect responsible for the Taj Mahal.
ALL OF THEM!
I love how Natlan music uses vocals especially. Gives a very unique feel.
Ahahahah, oh man, I almost feel bad for the two unlucky bastards who'd draw the short straw and have to fight her. Almost.
One, they're restricted to melee, with a small AOE thing that doesn't do much against an expert archer like her, while Sara is proficient with a bow and can at least fight competently enough with a sword to beat another trained swordsman, making her far more versatile.
Agents are also restricted to land, while Sara can likely manage at least short bursts of flight, even if we assume that the damage to her wings left permanent effects even years after the fact.
She is also much, much faster, as all tengu have super-speed as their special trait, to the point where individuals like Iwakura Michiro are considered exceptional for managing to slightly graze one. Being able to actually keep up with one has only been done by Kitsune Saiguu and apparently they let her win.
Tengu are also close to oni in strength and Sara in particular has beaten Itto, who is known to be absurdly strong physically.
The agents do have their stealth thing, but stealth can only do so much when your opponent can effortlessly tear through an entire army without slowing down until coming face-to-face with a literal Harbinger.
To beat her, you'd realistically need as many agents as it takes to match at least a low-level Harbinger like Childe or Signora, and even then she could still win, cause she's clever enough to pick them off one by one while they futilely try to crowd around a much faster, much more agile opponent with wings.
FURINA!!
She's perfect in every way. If she has a thousand fans, I'm one of them. If she has just one, it's me. If she has none, I'm dead and buried.
More or less equal for me, but if I had to choose just one of these, Navia.
Furina is my one and only, now and always.
Favorite in Fontaine, favorite in general 🩵
Maybe. Hoping second half so I can have enough🙏
Going just for her weapon anyway (and I've got 55 weapon pity saved up) but still unsure about my chances.
Whoooo nicee!
I love eldritch horrors, good work!
Oh dear gods-
Zhongli Wallet Syndrome đź’€
I'm not alone! Except I'm doing a little better now.
^^ That actually makes a lot of sense! Especially considering how close Atossa's situation is to real-world chronic illnesses.
However, there's other stuff
Of course, it also makes sense that we can't clear it from people that effectively too - Dvalin's tears were inanimate objects, so cleansing them would be akin to washing something that's gotten dirt all over it. But as we see, the Abyss sorta... Soaks into living beings and becomes part of them as it breaks down their organs, so even if it's removed, the damaged tissue stays damaged. After all, our power just cleanses the Abyssal Corruption; it doesn't heal. If the Corruption was bad enough to seriously damage the vital organs, there's nothing we can do.
Think... Cancer, instead of just any chronic illness. I've had a theory for a long time that the Abyss is meant to represent malignant mutations (i.e. cancers) just like how the Light Realm (Vishaps) represent natural evolution.
The constant association with cysts and tumors, the way it affects living beings, and the way Abyss creatures imitate and corrupt living beings, poor, poor Carter Scherbius... It all adds up. The Abyss is a sort of cosmic cancer, rapidly spreading and proliferating at the expense of everything else.
Just like how removing a cancerous growth isn't always enough to cure the disease itself, purging the Abyss isn't always enough to cure the damage it causes.
You know, I'm expecting a thing where we finally ask someone about those cleansing powers (Ronova? Yohual?) and actually learn how they work for once. And actually make them work.
Still, I think speed decides this one. I get that he's strong, but I can't see him somehow being faster than a tengu.
I don't think they were unable to kill each other. They just didn't want to. Subconciously or not. Worthy opponent thing.
Also "he could be a youkai" isn't really valid cause it's just speculation. There's nothing to suggest he is besides his ears and tail but plenty of characters are part-animal without being semi-divine mystical creatures.
As it stands, she's faster, physically stronger, and more versatile in combat than he is. While, yes, he's stronger than a normal person, and probably most Visionless soldiers, his main strength are his brains and his ability to lead.
It's not a "who'd kill who" question, it's a "who wins" question. Besides, in these scenarios, it's normally understood that retreat isn't an option, unlike in their canon fight.
Sara is a youkai though. She's not human. Gorou seems to be one of those normal animal-people that only have minor differences that set them apart from humanity, like all the Katzlein and the like. Both have a Vision, but she has other powers aside from that by virtue of being a supernatural creature to begin with.
If he was also a youkai we'd probably be told about it. That gives her a hell of an advantage because tengu are close to oni IIRC in strength and they're also so damn fast that beating one in a race is considered a big deal in-universe.
If she can use a sword, that means she's at least moderately skilled in hand-to-hand combat. This means that she can fight at close range while Gorou is mostly restricted to long-range. If she can slip past (she can) and gets close (she will) he's done for. He can't move faster than a Tengu. This is a race that has "being fast" as their thing.
Yeah, she's honorable... But she's a soldier first and foremost. She's not the kind of honorable a warrior archetype like Capitano is. She won't throw away her chances like that and not press her advantage if she has it. Her honor manifested in different ways than lettimg herself lose.
Also only one of this people had effortlessly torn through an entire army with nobody being able to put a dent in them except for the actual fucking Harbinger.
No idea lol
I've always wondered. I have trouble enough grinding on one account (and plus one other game) so I can't imagine making alts. That would be a nice, quick slippery slope into insanity for me. I'm already insane enough, thank you very much; don't need more of that.
Yeah, he'd still win even without it, it'd just be a closer fight and less unfair.
He has the advantage of being skilled in multiple fighting styles (Sara can use a sword too, but Childe uses literally everything) plus, if we're counting his special boss moves, he can do insane things like that whale thing which grants him a decent counter to her flight cause big AOE and because he can make his weapons out of Hydro, he can switch faster than her, so it'd be harder to get him on the defensive.
Likely Childe. Sara is strong, so she can definitely hold her own, but he's got access to a much wider pool of powers to draw from, can use basically every single weapon at least somewhat competently and is the kind of maniac whose idea of a good time is picking fights with all of Fontaine's master duelists and hunting planet-smashing eldritch abominations.
Foul Legacy is definitely the deciding factor here though. While Sara could probably hold off or even beat him in his normal state and with his Delusion, or at least last for some time... I don't think I can see her beating that thing. We see it tear through Ruin Guards in seconds (and this was while Childe was still weakened from our fight!) and it can hold out against the aforementioned eldritch horror for a month. No contest there.
Gorou is a commander and a strategist first and foremost. While he does have some combat ability, he's at his best at the back, coordinating his forces.
Sara is a one-woman army. You point her at something you want gone and it's gone. This includes things like the entire clan and every single single fucking soldier on Narukami Island at the time.
