Hello! I was uh... attacked by life, and had to take a massive hiatus out of nowhere. In any case, I am back and absolutely REELING from the recent content. I'm still a thread mod, still doing all the same stuff as before. I just needed a break lol

I decided to switch to JP and honestly, not disappointed with the voice acting at all.

I'm also insanely happy about permanent albedo content, as well as Dahlia's reveal.

The new boss was FIRE. I also adored the plot and such during the quest, very entertaining in my opinion. Not the best thing ever but definitely several steps up from Natlan (imo).

My opinion on Rhinedottir has a changed so much now and I'm also deathly curious about her... Need more Khaenria/Hexenzirkel lore STAT

Overall, amazing way to come back and I'm soooooo happy

Really the line that suddenly made my hatred for Rhine drop severely. Do I like her? No. But now she sits in the same boat as Arlecchino in my head: unethical but ultimately not pure evil.

I need family content and Rhine lore so badly...

I didn't get a screenshot but I'm losing my mind over the mini Durin plot twist. EXCUSEEEE ME

Khaenri'ah lore spoilers i guess???

From the Khaenri'ah article:

"The practice of the Art of Khemia led to the Kingdom of Khaenri'ah's ruin.[8] 500 years ago, in an event now referred to as the "cataclysm" or "catastrophe," the alchemist Gold's bottomless desire to create ever more powerful creatures led to the destruction of the Eclipse Dynasty, which ruled the Kingdom of Khaenri'ah.[9] These monsters, along with the creatures corrupted by Gold — such as Durin — spewed forth from the fallen nation into the land of Teyvat."

POV gold when she technically causes the downfall of an entire nation and the deaths of many, gods and humans alike:

So Rhinedottir‘s nickname/title is Gold.

And in Hi3 (another Hoyoverse game) there’s a character named Eden who’s codename is also Gold.

Not sure if this means anything but it’s something I noticed

!MILD SPOILERS FOR THE CARIBERT ARCHON QUEST!

Like all other nations, Khaenri'ah is actually based off of a culture. Based on some stuff, I figured that it's based on Nordic/Scandinavian culture. Some evidence:

-Dainsleif is the name of the Nordic dwarf Dain's sword

-Halfdan (Rangarsson) was a Scandinavian commander in the Middle Ages and for a time ruled Denmark

-Rhinedottir is an Icelandic name

-Both Dvalin and Durin are dwarfs in Nordic mythology (which could suggest the Dvalin is originally from Khaenri'ah)

-The names Clothar and Caribert are derived from the names Clotaire and Charibert

Another interesting thing about Clothar and Caribert is that Clothaire was a king of the franks (German speaking peoples who followed germanic paganism, same as Scandinavia) and Charibert was actually his son and then a ruler for some time. Remember that Clothar Alberich is one of the royal mages of Khaenri'ah, so he does have a royal position even if he isn't the king.

I'm a massive history and mythology geek and I've actually been having this all on my mind since I've played the Caribert quest, so here you guys have it too. Idek why I made this just felt like it lol

The slim woman with pale blonde hair sighed.

“You, tell me, Nyani. Of all of the things I’ve used as alchemical bases, I’ve never even dreamed of using crystalflies. Crystalflies, of all things!”

Nyani sighed. She had gotten so far in her research, she couldn’t stop her project just yet. Peering into the giant tube-like container, a gift from Rhinedottir, she saw a manifestation of pure Dendro energy forming. It was working! Maybe Nyani could finish her project after all! She would have thanked the Archons above for this blessing, but she was an Archon, so there was no point.

“What do you even want to do with this anyway, O Great Lord Rukkhadevata?” If looks could kill, Nyani’s glare at Rhinedottir would have made her drop dead.

“Rhinedottir, I am your friend, you don’t have to be formal with me. And if someone was listening, and found that an Archon was friends with a Khanri’ahn, of all good things, I’d be dead meat.”

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

Nyani and Rhinedottir turned around simultaneously.

The alchemy was taking place, the crystalfly base reacting with the Dendro-enhanced fluid from within the tank, bumping into the sides. Nyani watched in fascination as pure Dendro energy condensed, forming a humanoid shape. As the seconds passed, the shape grew more detailed. Elf-like ears, like Alice’s, Nyani noted. A childlike form. White hair, splayed in every direction due to the fluids.

The crystalfly girl, a homunculus made from alchemy, opened her eyes. They were green, with the pupils flower-shaped, similar to Khanri’ahn eyes, which featured four-pointed stars.

“What are you gonna call her, Nyani?” Rhindottir asked.

Nyani thought for a minute.

“Nahida,” she finally answered. “I’ll call her Nahida.”

Note: The chapter title is a lyric from "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters

I gave Rukkhadevata the name "Nyani" because the Aranara call her "Queen Aranyani"

Firstly I wanted to draw Albedo with Durin but Rhine came like more fun idea :"D

I simply changed where the fishnets were and made a neater drawing. The lighting looks like crap because I took a picture and sent it to my friends at midnight and the only source of light was coming from a lamp beside my bed

I played Itto’s story quest and I realize that he’s literally such a sweetheart…it’s so adorable and..and… I just can’t 😭🙂

How is everyone’s day/night? I got Gorou on both my main and my alt (okay I got his constellation on my alt too)! And Albedo’s build is slowly getting there thank god…I got Qiqi on the standard banner on my alt at around 40-50ish pity. This means I have Mona and Qiqi on my alt but not my main—

I got a Jean constellation that I didn’t need but it further encourages me to build her into a physical DPS with a 4p Pale Flame because WHY NOT. Oh aaaand I got Rosaria’s 6th Constellation! She’s unbuilt…I literally don’t know how to build her and I’m tempted to just make her a cryo battery or someone to help in a perma-freeze team with Kokomi… Her build in the test run makes her a physical DPS but I don’t have the patience to jump cancel her in a sprint ON MOBILE.

Good news: I’m a little over 20 pity, am saving for Xiao, spent money on Welkin Moon and BP because I got a $100 gift card. I’m sure we can all see where this is going.

If you don’t, well guess what: I’m whaling for Xiao if I still have enough money to. And if I get him and still have money I’m doing the same with Ganyu. I don’t really want Itto (love him but didn’t really enjoy his playstyle…probably claymore burnout since I’m a Chongyun main. Also we have a NOELLE) or Shenhe (I want Yun Jin though) sooo it gives me plenty of time to save. Plus these events are coming out like crazy and MHY is being unusually generous with rewards…maybe they’re apologizing for a major character death in the future/j. (Okay it’s not that funny because I love all the characters)

I feel like next update will be huge…we’re getting a Liyue character for the first time in awhile. Not to mention the Lantern Rite is only a month and then some away (I’m so excited I started playing in May and never got to witness its beauty). I would say more but I’ll probably get banned at that point so let’s not—for now I’ll continue to draw my lore series. Wellll…I do have a special art coming out that isn’t related to lore.

If you guys know me by now, it’ll probably take awhile for me to post it—if I even do…it’ll be related to Scaramouche (non-lore and not even game-related lol)
