Fatui

So, I've been doing some art of Sonic the Hedgehog characters dressed up as Genshin Impact characters. First of all, here's Sonic as Aether:

I can't believe I didn't think of it before but...

Some of you may remember, but a while back I was wondering if I should start a collection in Genshin considering I collect specific stuff in both Star Rail and ZZZ. But I don't feel like collecting a specific element in Genshin and weapon types wouldn't make much sense. I DO collect the dog-boys, but let's be real, that's not a big enough category for it to truly count.

One of my category candidates for a collection were the Fatui because I feel a huge affinity towards them in general, but Columbina single-handedly made me give up on that since I didn't want her on my account. But... she actually LEFT THEM. I don't know how the implications didn't dawn on me, but that means I could actually decide to collect the playable Fatui safely. Especially considering I'm up to date since I have Tartaglia, Arlecchino, Lyney, Lynette and Freminet already.

Now, that would mean pulling for Sandrone and she wasn't planned, assuming she becomes playable and releases during Nod-Krai, but if my other main goals are more spread out than Lauma and Flins, I should be fine.

"Definitively" means "absolutely", but for what reason to prove that without some clear evidence, if Columbina might be the true member of The Seven? Whether she was dethroned by the Cryo Archon (Belyi Tsar, not the Tsaritsa), or if she did it intentionally in the past, is unclear, as Hoyo has treated the lore like 4D chess through retcons, although they have already retconned Columbina as an Archon. I could say that bro might be overanalytical to say that as he reverted it, though the Genshin lore did NOT yet confirm it because of how many updates... (－‸ლ)

Riiiight, it's been ages since I made one of these, huh? Wanted do do reviews and such on recent quests too... But it's been so long that I gave my opinions on those elsewhere. And we'd just get stuck arguing about planets and spaceship keys. And nobody wants that (doctor's orders~)

So instead, this. Some of this I touched on in my old Crimson Moon lore post, but here it's more coherent.

First off, Rerir.

Based on some hints (see - Alice's paper in the Nod-Krai trailer has the word "Solnari" on it, which is part of Rerir's EN title - Rächer of Solnari), he may or may not be present in 6.x.

But what do we know about this dude?

Uhh... Next to nothing! How marvellous.

HOWEVER. Unlike the rest of the Sinners, whose vague titles tell us nothing of note (seriously, "the Wise"? How am I meant to work with that?), Rerir's is enough that we can infer quite a bit.

EN doesn't really help. It's just Avenger of... Whatever the Hells Solnari is.

Wait, what even is Solnari?

The Wiki will only tell you that it's Norse and it probably comes from the words for "sun" and "corpse". But what is it in Genshin?

Well, I feel the Nod-Krai teaser finally has an explanation! See, the words on the aforementioned paper Alice had are...

Solnari

Aralos

Canon

Familiar, right?

The last one is the name of one of the Moon Goddesses, Canon. That tells us what the other two are. Aralos is therefore Aria, and Solnari must be Sonnet.

But which of the Moons is Sonnet, then? I believe Iridescent/Crimson. Not just cause it has to be for my theory to be right lmao.

It's cause of the word for "corpse" being included in the word Solnari. The Crimson Moon can be said to be the Iridescent Moon's corpse. And it carries a significant connection to Death (Ronova). Note the crimson color, and the motif of eyes. Remember Perinheri's ritual, where he's made to declare that he's dead and then sees an eye in the Moon? Or how Arlecchino, the Crimson Moon Dynasty's descendant, has pupils that are the same as the ones Ronova's skeyeball form has?

Yeah.

Now... Rerir's titles in other languages.

Most are "Moon Hunter" or "Lunar Avenger".

He's also called a "moon-hunting Sinner" in his weapon skin (Shattered Moon) and he has strong vengeance motifs too, being named after a mythical character whose entire story is based around avenging his murdered father.

So how does that help us?

Well, the Crimson Moon Dynasty has vengeance motifs too. When their rule was toppled by civil war, the last survivors, branded with the title Balemoon and forced into hiding, waited and prayed for the Crimson Moon to avenge them, which never came:

Few survived the utter destruction of their kind, hiding in the shadows where the sun did not shine, longing for the Crimson Moon to decree their desire for vengeance be repaid—

But the so-called repayment never came, and the dark sun fell to the same ignorance and arrogance.

That same text ends with what appears to be a prayer or prophecy (which I'll touch on later) that also alludes to that vengeance.

And this ties in to Rerir's own vengeance motifs. He's "hunting" the Moon because he wants to avenge his fallen dynasty.

And Nod-Krai has... Lots of implications about a "hunt" for the Moon.

Columbina appears to be the New Moon and she went there (my guess is that she's being "called" to the homeland of her followers somehow), and the Fatui went after her.

Varka's expedition appears to also be searching for the Moon in some manner.

And the Wild Hunt, the local Abyssal faction, are also snooping around for something.

Given the hunting motifs and the ties to the Abyss, I think Rerir will be the Wild Hunt's leader. Feels almost too obvious.

And the thing they're looking for is also the Moon.

What do I think? The old Moon, as Columbina says, will fall soon. Its remnant will is going to be passed on to her and she'll ascend as the New Moon. As the Moons held control over the "cycles"/fate pre-HP, a new one rising that the HP has not forced into obedience via Oath Stuff™️ signals another blow to their rule.

Dunno what the Hell Varka wants, but the Wild Hunt and the Fatui would def want to get their hands on something that might help them overturn the order. So they'll probably end up clashing. Or working together. Or both of those lol.

... Amd that's not the only thing that connects thr Fatui and the Crimson Moon.

Look at the "burn the old world" line here:

And... Let's look at the Fatui logo.

What even is it, right? Looks like some abstract shape that the wiki incorrectly calls a Solomon's knot.

Well, how about now? This is the version you see whenever a Harbinger is introduced onscreen.

It almost looks like four eyes in an "X" shape. The very same "X" shape associated with Arle and the Crimson Moon Dynasty (in her eyes, on her weapon, on the pendant she wears, in her Skill/Burst). And in red, matching Ronova's eyeseyeseyes.

And Pierro immediately knew what Arle was as soon as he saw her, enough to recommend books about it.

Hm.

I wonder.

Considering we're getting new Fatui mobs, shown in Song of the Welkin Moon and Nod-Krai's Prelude to Moonlight (unless those are just 'NPCs we only see in short animated stories'). Do you think in Snezhnaya Fatui enemies will be given 'tiers'?

Like how Natlan's Crowned Warriors are like high-ranking enemies compared to the other lower Tribal Guardians are Natlan's 'human cannon fodder-like' enemies. Or rather how the Eremites in Sumeru have low-tier, mid-tier, and high-tier enemy types?

So in Snezhnaya Fatui Skirmishers and Agents can be considered like mid-to-high-tier enemies and regular Fatui Soldiers (wearing a basic and plain agent uniform) can be considered as low-tier cannon fodder? If considering this, would Hoyo bring back out the BETA/old versions of the Fatui Cicin mage and Agent as lower-ranking enemies? To fill in the gap for elemental low-tier enemies?

Saw online that it’ll be updated again on the 30th. The official genshin Reddit account also shared this image.

I think my theory of the fatui doing a build-a-moon +goddess is getting more and more likely…

"WE HAVE SOAP!!"

Today I met a very, very stinky comrade. You see, this started when my squad had to meet up with another group in the desert, and all was well on the way but then as we arrived we where hit by what felt like a truck. A horrible stench and a Hydro Gunner named Yevgraf, who had a clothes clip on his nose, he quickly clipped our noses too, sparing us from the horrific miasma emitted by the camp. Yevgraf explained, "My comrade Illyusha refuses to wash his feet, its not even like we are low on water or anything, he just refuses," he said. it was then that Illyusha emerged from his tent, I'm pretty sure mushrooms were growing on his boots, barnacles too. and even then the scent still seeped through. "Comrades, help me pin him down." I said. Immediately Yevgraf and Alkesandra moved to ambush him, yet Illyusha evaded every attempt to immobilize him. "Please just watch your feet!" Alkesandra said, trying to trap him in a mirror cage to wash him, all to no success. After several hours of cat and mouse we managed to corner him, and yevgraf and Aleksandra jumped on him, pinning him down, as I pulled on a gas mask, an d carefully pulled off his boots, unleashing a stench so wretched even lady crucabena was likely puking in her urn, quickly I washed his feet as he screamed in anger, claiming he liked smell. "Comrade, you are a freak" we all manged to say in unison. After his feet were washed I got him fresh boots and tossed the old ones off a cliff. We only where there for 3 more days but he haden't stopped crying over having his stinky ahhh feet washed by the time we left. Tsartsia save yevgraf's nose.

Lazzo of Water

Signora, Columbina, Arlecchino, and Pulcinella enter a room together, when suddenly Signora faints and falls onto the floor having fainted she cries out “Ugh- I feel ill” as she crashes to the ground her dress and cape flowing as she falls face first into a glass table shattering it and spilling dirt all over her, from its flower pots.


	Columbina is surprised and calls over to Arlecchino and says “Fetch me some water to wake Signora”. Pulcinella would come over with Arlecchino carrying fresh clean water, and toss it on Signora’s face to no Avail,

“No good, we need something else” Said Arlecchino in response to this, so she had Pulcinella fetch a pale of dirty Water and splashes that all over  Signora to no effect.

Pulcinella Said “Alright try hot and cold, so Columbina fetched cold water and Arlecchino Hot and she said “I got the same I used to wake the children” But as she tossed the water over Signora it did nothing

	 “I fetched the kind I use to prank the Captian” But to Columbia's shock her cold water did not succeed. But Pulcinella’s face lit up.


“I have one more idea!” he declared unzipping his pants and peeing in th bucket he walked over and tossed it over Signora, who shot up disgusted she grabbed him and tossed him across the room causing him to hand head first in a bedpan.



“Id rather you have had the Doctor wake me!” She yelled before stomping away literally fuming with anger. There was Even Fire and sparks flying from her ears.




Lazzo of eating one’s Self
Several Dottore’s are in a room together. The one in the prime of his life declared. “I am quite hungry” And thus Nonchalantly he rips off another segments arm and eats it. This leads to a chain of events where all the segments eat each other, meanwhile the old Arlecchino wait intending to speak to the Doctor but finding it to be a bad time. He invites her to eat the Segments with him though she declined. 


Lazzo of the Fly.
Arlecchino invites Signora to her homes stating there is not a fly in her home it is so clean. To the shock of Signora she enters to sees dozens of children when asking Arlecchino what was going on she still insisted “There is not a fly”. Adjusting Signora tried to earn the children's favor though bribery was her only successful method.



Shield and Bystander Lazzo
	The two Arlecchino’s are fighting. The newer one grabs as sword and Swings it at the old one, only for her to Grab Clervie and Use her own daughter as a shield.  Eventually the Captain Arrives and attempts to break up the fight only for him to instead get beaten up by both for interrupting.

	“We are gathered here today too-” the mayor is interrupted as signora Emerges from her coffin claiming to be alive. She is quickly put back down as a startled Sandrone hits her over the head with a Bench.

An Injured Fatui Agent speaks his jaw is broken so he cannnot pronounce words “Behold the Fat Chewy Hamburgers: Il Capicchino, Il Dough Tour, Collum beans, Harly quinn, Pun cinderella, ???, Sandy drone, La Sigma nora. Panting alone, ??? and Toterllini.” Nobody understands him  and all are left confused.

	The Fatui Harbingers have all gathered together, before the Tsaritsa, the Balladeer needs to clear his throat so he asks permission to spit. The Tsaritsa said “As long as you spit on nothing important.” So the Balladeer Agreed and Promptly spat on Tartaglia. “I didn’t break the rule” He said smugly. 

So the issue is the scenarios are hard to get the charecter in, but I still tried... maybe I should have just done the Capitano Mpreg.

Also I'm caught up again on Fatui cards now that I got Arle's card.

This isnt fully backed by evidence as i just thought of it 10.547 seconds ago, but i just realized.

What if the fatui isnt going to use the gnosis?

What i mean is. we know that the gnosis have pieces of a descender inside them, they have a curse like aura, and create a signal like beacon when destroyed, almost like their tracking devices for archons incase one falls.

And so, a thought that just occured to me was, what if their using it as a declaration of sorts?

Their not using a plan to utilize the power of the gnosis, their not making the tsaritsa more powerful, their not using it to affect the leylines.

Their going to smash all the gnosis.

Which in turn, would be like a ultimate declaration of war; all the gnosis held by the chosen of celestia being shattered would be truest in the sense of the word, and get the message across that a being wishes to fight/is a enemy of the heavens.

Which is why dottore doesnt care that the experiment with scaramouche failed; because he never planned to even use that concept to begin with and was doing it to pass time/eventually gain the gnosis.

But why he hesitated at nahidas bluff. If the gnosis was smashed before the time arrived, their plan could be ruined and the HP would launch war before their prepared.

Another thing that points to this in hindsight would actually be the fact that the tsaritsa was fine with capitano not following the plan and getting the gnosis; because it doesnt matter in the end. If it was a immediately important piece, you would think she would care more, but. The more time in this case, the better.
