If you look at the EM on these pieces...
It should add up to 113
Except it's 112 here (and when I take off the circlet it's 79 instead of 80 EM)
Probably has smth to do with the rounding but this is still weird

i currently have about 11k f2p primogems saved up for alhaitham, and yes, i know his banner was just last month i just wish i was there sooner. 😭 also, alhaitham is guaranteed for me so i’ll probably pull for his weapon too since i’m already at around 40ish pity.
anyways, for his team i’m using raiden, yelan, and yaoyao. i have them mostly built, but i’m not sure about team rotations. i’m fairly new to using dendro and em teams, so if anyone could help me out here that would be great. c:
I got nilou! 🥳
But building is hard…
Currently my team is nilou, Kirara, collei, Barbara
Im saving like heck for Nahida so collei will be replaced but until then his would I build everyone and what rotations should I use?
My nilou is fine but if you have any tips that’s good :)
Kirara: 2p vorukasha, 2p tenacity, sapwood, c3(4) with event,
collei: 4p deepwood favonius/sacrificial
Barbara: 4 pc paradise lost, sacrificial for em
Idk who is the bloom trigger so I don’t know who to build em on 😔
Would she be good in a team with nahida and kokomi for hyperbloom spam then?? I have (a really badly built) EM Raiden right now-
I'm building an em kazuha rn but I want to know how much crit is good enough for him.
Was planning to build her support since I got Yoimiya. But I didn't get Ei until last banner with her promoted. There's just a little change ... she is not longer electro character, she is dealing dendro damage.
38,624+4,054 damage in one strike. Okay, I cheated a little bit. She got 1591 emental mastery - buffed by Nahida and Sucrose.
Without buffs she has 1014 elemental mastery and without sucrose I use her in spiral abyss (sometimes with Nahida, sometimes without her). Her best strike was stored into statistics:
I never played her in another way than off-damage supporting my team. So it just can be 43,726 dendro damage plus unknown amount of electro damage.
What you should keep in mind: this is support damage, no main dps damage and each dendro core will deal that amount of damage (no internal cooldown like other reactions .. explosion for example). And because you need hydro characters to create dendro cores, you also will deal electro-charged reaction damage in between.
I just love 2 elemental Ei play style. <3
So yesterday I was farming for Hu Tao artifacts, and I got an EM Sand Piece that rolled into Crit DMG 3 times. The Crit DMG is 27%. Is that any good? (For Hu Tao ofc). Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Not very long ago, I got this CW Pyro goblet that's actually good:
That was not only a +10cv increase, but also on-set, so I can switch my feather for something better. My new build has 14 more crit value than before. (I run 2x Crimson Witch, 2x Glad.)
Excited, I put it on my DPS Benny, and my melt Burst does 10% less damage.
So what happened? Turned out I made the classic mistake of ignoring everything else.
My ATK
While my previous goblet only had 29 cv, it had 16.3% ATK. With my stats, this translates to 8% net damage here alone.
Yet more shocking is that recall this post.
I concluded that 1 cv translates to around 0.25-0.36% damage; with this in mind, the 16.3% ATK rolls is actually equivalent to 22-32 cv. Even as ATK% bonuses diminish in value with Benny's Q, 16.3% ATK is still very significant, and at the least is as good as 2 max crit rolls.
2. EM
I have always wondered what's the deal with having 200 EM for Melt / Vape DPS. Won't having more crit be better?
Turns out I was VERY wrong. At low-to-zero EM, the value of a min EM roll is still 25% more than a max crit roll. The value of 1 EM is initilly 0.2%, but diminishes quickly over increasing EM. 250 EM is enough to halve its value; another 400 EM brings it down to only 0.05%. But up to around 220 EM, the average crit roll matches the value of the average EM roll.
By virtue of switching builds, I lost 44 EM, which is another 8% damage or 22-32 cv.
3. How do I tell how good a roll is?
Before we judge how good something is, we need to know what exactly is that player on. Except we don't.
We'll judge how good a roll is by saying how much more %dmg does it contribute. Note that these values compound, not stack additively. 10x 5% is a lot more than 50%.
We also assume the character scales off ATK. Thus, HP, DEF rolls mean nothing. Also, we assume we have enough ER, so further ER is also worth nothing DPS-wise. If we're looking at DPS, 900 base ATK and 2000 ATK looks reasonable.
Crit: 1 cv translates to around 0.3-0.34% damage, so a max roll is somewhere around 2.3-2.6% dmg.
ATK: To calculate this damage bonus, we simply compare the origina ATK to the new one. 19.4 ATK translates to 19.4/2000 or around 1.0% damage. For %ATK, a max roll corresponds to 5.83% * baseATK / ATK. For the scenario above, this roll would be worth 2.6%.
In a scenario with ATK buffs, where the value of ATK / baseATK increases, the value of ATK decreases. If this character is inside Benny's burst, which gives 1000 ATK, the value of the ATK% roll becomes around 1.7% only.
EM: We mentioned this above. A benchmark: At 0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 EM, this roll is worth 4.0%, 3.0%, 2.3%, 1.9% and 1.5% respectively.
So let's explain that discrepancy by comparing the two Pyro goblets.
My original one had 370% cv, 280% ATK and 70% ATK roll value, for a value of 17.2% dmg, while my new one had 500% cv and dead stats for a value of 12.5% dmg. Lesson learnt.
There you have it. While I increased my cv, was it worth it? No, so folks, don't make the same mistake.
Insert aranara smile :]

I have about 30 5* VV pieces, and none of the sands, goblet or circlet have had EM main stat since then, should I be worried?
Also, how long is it gonna take me to get 2 5* VV artifacts with EM main stat?
I really have a lot of characters to farm artifacts for right now, as I started artifact farming a bit too late, and I would really like to move on and away from the VV domain soon.
Thanks
She do 15k overload damage
Decent but i can go even higher
But i can already thanks this absolutely godlike feather i got
And i swear if someone brings the debate to ANY OTHER stat that isn't EM i will smash their house with a ruin serpent
SOMEONE TELL ME WHY I FARMED FOR WEEKS TO GET EM LIKE THIS (for kaazuha) AS A SUBSTAT THEN I GET IT ON THE WRONG ARTIFACT? AND THE WRONG SET
I'm dying please help
Lol getting c2 Kazuha has enabled me to stack EM to ungodly degrees.
Lol wanna see how much 1.65k em affects reaction damage?
(Crystallize is 240.8% bc i failed to crop properly.)
I’m still missing characters that could stack this even further. If I ever get access to c6 Diona or some future artifact/character effects that increases EM even further, i’ll try for 2k.
They are not fully enchanted yet but which main stat is better for Kazuha?
