No way is this real bro- 300% fake lmao
I dunno. Considering you see people blow literal damn thousands on Genshin in one banner, I wouldn't put it past people with serious gambling addictions to do this.
People make bad life decisions regarding real life money all the time.
Renting out a massive mansion for no reason. Renting(?) a Tesla car when you don't have the funds to pay the company back.
If those stories are real, then I'm pretty sure this is very plausible.
There's stories about children using their parents' credit cards to spend money on Genshin- that's what the US government sued Hoyo for after all.
Are you going to call those fake too because "they just made it up for attention, there's no way a kid could act like that"?
The term manchild exists for a reason.
So no, just because "it's on Reddit!!!" is your reason, doesn't immediately prove it's fake.
And if you're a common Reddit scroller, then of course you would be overwhelmed with your entire fucking notifications inbox being filled with people giving their own two cents.
"Discernment is dead!"
I can discern when things are fake when there's actual evidence that it's fake, not "oh it's so outlandish there's no way it happened smh!!! this is slanders and lies!!!!" being a reason.
But also, even as much as I dislike the Forsaken community (as a former player mind you), I don't think they deserve that fate.
Pass them onto the Roblox brainrot slop content games instead, trust.
I'm not saying all these stories are fake. This one clearly is. Give the alleged texts a re-read. They're so obviously fabricated.
In general it's safer to assume stuff on the internet is fake, unless proven by compelling evidence. And message screenshots alone are hardly reliable.
That doesn't mean it's impossible for it to be real. You're right that this would be far from the craziest situation of somebody spending money foolishly on Genshin. But just because something isn't impossible, doesn't mean it's automatically trustworthy either.
^^ agree tbh
Yeah, there is like... Literally no way to verify this beyond the OOP's word. Which is... Er... Doubtful at best. As far as I'm concerned, content on TIFU, AITA, OffMyChest or AIO is about as believable as content on r/nosleep.
Besides, I'm yet to hear a reason as to why one would publicize their private relationship issues like this, for thousands of people to see, and be perfectly fine - even happy - with how far it's spread, if they aren't an attention seeker.
They aren't worried about their partner also seeing it and thinking of it as a revenge or a betrayal (which would worsen whatever they've got going on), they aren't worried about potentially being doxxed or harrassed, or of internet strangers going after their loved ones, not asking the mods to take it down when it got too big... All valid concerns. But no, they're relishing in it. "OMG guysss I'm so overwhelmed by your responses <3"
Those are all things that would be on my mind first and foremost - how will telling this to the internet affect my real life?
Obvious attention seeker is obvious. Even if it's real (doubt) they're clearly fishing for attention lol
No. Fucking. Way.
^ based whitebeard reaction
What do you think?
